G.H. Patel College of Engineering is a premier engineering college in Anand, Gujarat. It is a part of Charutar Vidya Mandal University ( CVM University). The college was established in 1996 to provide exceptional education in engineering disciplines. The college was affiliated with Sardar Patel University from 1996 to 2008. Since 2008, the college has been affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. From 2020, CVM University is the new affiliating body. GCET Vallabh Vidyanagar strives to provide technical education through improvement in the teaching-learning process by complementing an intellectual environment leading to life-long learning. The institute’s wider aim is to tackle the research gap in engineering by giving opportunities to upcoming generations in the robotics & machine learning field.
Admission to GCET is given to two courses; B.Tech & M.Tech. The streams offered by the college are Chemical, Information Technology, Computer Science (IoT), Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, EEE, Civil, and Applied science & humanities. GCET Vallabh Vidyanagar Admission Process is done as per the guidelines stipulated by State Govt for both B Tech and M Tech courses.
85% of seats will be filled through ACPC Counselling based on the student’s merit rank. For admission to the B Tech, students must either clear JEE Main or GUJCET. Those students who qualify for the G.H. Patel College cutoff standards can acquire seats through a centralized counseling process. 15% of seats are reserved for the G.H. Patel College management quota (Includes NRI/NRI Sponsored categories). They provide admission under the Management quota based on ACPC guidelines. GH Patel College Engineering Fees for the first year is Rs. 1,19,000.
The M Tech seat intake is close to 159 and includes innovative fields like communication systems, information technology, industrial engineering, power systems, and embedded systems. For admission to the M.Tech, GCET accepts GATE and Gujarat PGECET scores. The eligibility for graduation is the basic requirement for M.Tech. The two-year M Tech fee structure is 1.1 Lakhs.
The GCET Engineering College also provides enough scope for cultural & departmental activities like innovation & start-up, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Audit courses, and Certification Courses. The National Innovation & Start-up policy of GCET has been a primary mode of development of entrepreneurs through different products & services. The campus is full of requisite amenities ranging from library to hostels & cafeteria. The GCET campus in Gujarat spans 10 acres. The central library has been functional since 1996 and deals with many textbook collections. G.H. Patel College hostel is fully incorporated with all the needed requirements. The fee structure will vary between INR.
GCET is also a major research & development educational institute. It helps the students to explore new avenues of research. 7 departments contribute to the development of society at large. The college tries to attract funds and partners for different research projects. The joint projects are protein characterization using machine learning, wrist pulse monitoring, and many more. Industrial consultancy also plays a major role in research by providing extensive support. The prominent industrial partners are Audio Labs, Hindalco, IOCL Jawaharnagar, ONGC Gandhar, RIL Dahej, SRF Limited, Biotech, and Reliance Industries Limited.
