SVKM's Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering was founded in 1994 by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Trust and is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is accredited by the AICTE and associated with the University of Mumbai. UGC granted an autonomy status for DJSCE for 10 years (2019-20 to 2028-29). The college offers  12 UG Programs, 3 PG Programs, and 3 Ph.D. Programs in the field of engineering disciplines. All the UG Engineering Courses are accredited NBA. Besides, NAAC accredits the institution with an "A" Grade for its academic excellence. Sanghvi College is one of the few institutes in Maharashtra to receive an A+ grade from the Directorate of Technical Education. In addition, DJSCE has been consistently rated among the Top 10 Private Engineering Colleges in India according to India Today Survey.

Students of DJSCE Mumbai continue to feature in top positions on the merit list. Before its autonomous status was received, the college was steadily ranked among the Top Two Colleges under the affiliation of Mumbai University in terms of academic results. D J Sanghvi College Courses are offered in B Tech, M Tech, and Ph.D. programs. The institute accepts applicants based on their performance at national or state-level exams.

Dwarkadas J Sanghvi college of engineering admission for B.Tech is based on 12th-grade grade point average, JEE Mains/Maharashtra CET performance, and other factors. Students who qualify in the entrance test must participate in the CAP (Centralized admission process), organized by DTE, Maharashtra. GATE score is a prerequisite for ME/M Tech and Ph.D.

A separate merit list will be prepared for MHT CET and JEE Main candidates. During the CAP Rounds, preference will be given to MHT CET qualifiers and then to the JEE Main. However, to be eligible for admission under CAP Quota, students must meet the D J Sanghvi college of engineering cutoff criteria.

• The cell organizes training sessions, including mock interviews, panel discussions, and workshops. In the 2020-21 DJ Sanghvi Placement Campaign, 392 students got placed in reputed companies. DJ Sanghvi Average Package offered INR 9 LPA.
