CV Raman University distance education Learning Methodologies
The instruction methodology in the university’s distance learning model differs from traditional regular courses. This method is more student-centred, with the learner actively participating in the pedagogical (teaching and learning) process. Depending on the situation, most instructions are delivered via distance education and face-to-face format.
Printed study materials for each study paper will be distributed to enrolled students regularly. These materials will serve as a guide for pupils to help them learn more effectively. Along with the study materials, assignments for internal assessment will be sent. Some of the course’s modules are also available online. These are in the works, and once completed, they will be available on the students’ website for registered applicants.
Counselling sessions will last 30 days for a year’s worth of programs. The actual contact schedule and location will be announced and communicated to students promptly.
In the distant learning mode, the program delivery style follows multimedia approach directions, which include:
- Self-Instructional Written Material: Students are given self-instructional textual materials for the programs’ theory and practical components.
- Counselling Sessions: Counselling sessions are scheduled according to the Learner Support Centre’s schedule. These are usually held outside of the support centre’s regular working hours.
- Industrial Training/Practical/ Project work: Teleconferences are held from the University studios via satellite using an interactive video conferencing capability (available in some locations).
- Audio-Visual Material Aids: Students are given audio-visual material aids to help them grasp and improve their understanding of the course materials.
- Teleconferences: At authorized institutions, industrial training, practical, and project work are held. A detailed project guide in a booklet is given for project work.
