For admission into the DIMR Pune MBA course, the candidates should have passed a minimum three-year Bachelor's Degree from any university recognized by University Grants. In addition, the candidates should have at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent in their Bachelor's. However, the candidates belonging to backward class categories, Economically weaker sections and Persons With Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State were given a relaxation of 45%.

The eligible candidates must appear for the MHCET- (Conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell and DTE-Government of Maharashtra, for the respective year) exam. In case students seeking admission to the Institute level quota must appear for MAH CET, CMAT or CAT.

Various scholarships are provided by the institution. The institution extends its helping hand to financially weak students. The students must fulfil certain eligibility criteria to avail of the scholarship facilities. The Scholarships that are provided are:

By the Government of Maharashtra

• 100% of tuition fee for the SC / ST/ DT/ NT/SBC category students
• 50% of the tuition fees for OBC category students.
• 50% of the tuition fees for Economically Backward Students (EBC)

• Scholarships for Girls: All the college girls who meet the program's eligibility requirement and have the offer to join DIMR are eligible for a 10% scholarship.
• Special Scholarship:  This scholarship is awarded specifically to the states of Jammu & Kashmir and North East (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland) students. The eligible students can avail of up to 15% scholarship only. The scholarship will be awarded annually and can be renewed each academic year, provided they meet the academic progress and general conduct criteria.
