Founded in 1964, the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is a coeducational Indian higher education institution located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It offers a wide range of programs and courses to students. It is one of the best central universities in India.

DAVV Indore is a non-profit public higher education institution. DAVV is among the first few universities that introduce innovative and integrated programs in science, engineering, technology, management, law, and media. In addition, it provides academic assistance to students and offers a placement guarantee. For most UG and PG courses, the admissions are based on the entrance exam scores called CUET; NTA conducts that. The remaining courses are based on merit scores from the qualifying exam.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala Admission process

Candidates looking forward to pursuing DAVV UG courses need to pass 12th classes from a recognized board. Candidates should also have an aggregate of 50% marks in general and 45% in the ST category. Those looking forward to pursuing PG courses should have a bachelor's degree in the respective field. Those looking forward to pursuing Ph.D. courses should have an M.Phil degree or equivalent from a university in India.

Students will be required to write an entrance test for some courses offered by the University. The University conducts a common entrance test (CET) for Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya course admissions. In addition, admission to some UG and PG non-CET programs will be based on a written test followed by counseling.

  • The applicants must visit the DAVV website
  • Students can fill in the DAVV CET application form online to proceed with the admission process. 
  • Fill in the form and attach the documents accordingly. 
  • Lastly, they must pay the application fees of INR 1550. The payment can be made online/by card or by DD in the name of the University.  

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala Placements

The institute's placement cell organizes various industrial visits and regular training sessions. It has also started virtual placement drives in phases. As a result, DAVV has the largest campus placements and has secured placements for over 1,000 students. This includes direct campus placements for students of the School of Economics and many other courses. The Institute of Engineering and Technology has the maximum number of campus placements.

The institute's placements were also accompanied by the highest average package of INR 6 LPA. The DAVV Highest package is up to 57 LPA. The maximum number of students who received placements in DAVV Indore was 1500. As far as the College is concerned, the Institute of Management Studies is arguably the best MBA College in Indore.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala Infrastructure facilities

The University has a computer centre, which provides access to the internet and email. It also subscribes to several journals and magazines. In addition, they have a multimedia laboratory to help students develop their skills. It also has a library, which contains more than 5 lakh books, periodicals, and e-books. The library is also computerized. The institute also has an auditorium that can accommodate many people.

Apart from the above facilities, the students can also get hostel accommodation if required. Students are provided with well-furnished room facilities, mess, canteen, reading rooms, CCTV surveillance, and more. The fee structure will be based on the room choice made by the students. The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala hostel fee structure is INR 34.5 K to 36 per annum.  

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyala Scholarships

DAVV offers many scholarships to deserving students. Most of these scholarships are awarded on a merit basis. It also offers sports quota scholarships to those students who have performed well in sports. It is required for the candidates to apply for scholarships based on their eligibility. With the given scholarships, the students can get a tuition fee waiver for the relevant courses.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya provides MBA admissions based on graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. The selections will be based on MP Counselling. The accepted cut-off rank is 127.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Distance Learning MBA fees are INR 36000 per annum and the total fees would be INR 72000.
