PES University at Bangalore is one of the top educational institutions in India, where quality education is of prime importance and is also known for excellent placements. Admission into PES University depends on cutoff ranks in entrance exams. The PES University cutoff 2025 plays a major role in selecting students for popular courses like B.Tech, particularly in branches like CSE, which are very highly in demand.

For B.Tech admission, scores from PESSAT (conducted by the university), KCET, and JEE Main are accepted. For MBA courses, the scores from KPGCET, KMAT, MAT, and CAT are considered. The cutoff changes every year. One must score accordingly, above the cutoff, in order to be eligible for their desired course or specialization.

PES University Admission through the cutoff includes qualifying for the required rank range and then following the counselling process. While counselling, the students can select their course according to their rank. For the B. PES Cutoff PESSAT differs according to the course and category. For B.Tech courses, the expected PES Cutoff PESSAT for CSE is 119 for the general category. In the case of the reserved category, the expected CSE cutoff is 115. Similarly, other courses like Mechanical and Electrical Engineering have slightly lower cutoff ranks for reserved category students. PES Cutoff PESSAT for OBC is 113 for the Mechanical Branch.

PES PESSAT Cutoff Trends

The cutoff trends of PESSAT state that the CSE branch has a relatively lower closing rank than the other engineering courses. In 2023, CSE had a closing rank of 763. Its opening rank in 2022 is 450, proving that a highly sought-after and competitive admission was for the CSE courses. Considering that the cutoff differs every year, the candidates need to aim for a minimum score above the closing ranks to increase their chances of getting B Tech admission in PES University.
