The MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) is an excellent institution accredited by the NAAC with an "A" grade and recognised by the NBA. Established in 1999, it operates under the affiliation of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) while enjoying academic autonomy granted by the UBC. It offers a diverse array of academic programmes, including undergraduate (B.Tech) courses. Most admissions are granted based on candidates' performance in national and state-level entrance tests, with significant emphasis on MHT CET and JEE Main, as well as academic merit. Consequently, the cutoff for this admission process is a fluctuating figure that varies each year.

The overall MIT Academy of Engineering Cutoff percentile is also determined by the test's difficulty level and the large number of participants. Consequently, this changing landscape is also taken into account for allocating seats on a category-wise basis, which includes General, OBC, SC, and ST categories.
