IIM Mumbai is one of the Top MBA colleges in India. It has ranked 4th as per the NIRF 2024 Ranking Survey. Hence, the competition is very high when seeking admission into it. One has to meet with CAT 2024 cutoff criteria to be eligible in the IIM Mumbai Admission 2025-27 Batch. It offers an MBA in three specializations. These include General, Operation & Supply Chain Management, and Sustainability Management.
The IIM Mumbai CAT cutoff 2024 and selection criterion for the batch 2025 - 27 will also be notified on the IIM Mumbai website. It is likely to be 85 percentile for IIM Mumbai Cutoff 2024 for general category students. For reserved categories, it will be in the range of 65 to 75 percentile.
The institute shortlists candidates for a personal interview basis of the CAT cutoff along with the gender diversity score. And final selection will be done on the basis of a composite score. Here, 55% weightage is given to CAT scores, 20% to PI scores, 20% to academics and work experience, and 5% to gender diversity scores. The IIM Mumbai MBA application process will soon be opening up for applicants for the 2025-27 batch.
Those who are looking for admission are mandated to satisfy the CAT Minimum qualifying cutoff 2024. Based on the CAT 2024 scores, candidates will be shortlisted for WAT and PI Rounds. IIM Mumbai CAT cutoff percentile for every category. For a general candidate, it is expected to be 85 percentile.
IIM Mumbai cutoff for OBC and EWS category would be around 75 percentile. For SC category aspirants, the cutoff is expected to be 70 percentile. ST requires the 65 percentile. For Persons with Disabilities, it is 55 percentile.

In addition to the CAT overall cutoff percentile, candidates are required to meet the IIM CAT sectional cutoff 2024.
CAT Cutoff for IIM for General is 75 Percentile in QA, and for VARC, it is 80, while for DI & LR, it is also 80 per cent. The cutoff for OBC Non-Creamy Layer and EWS candidates is 65 in QA and 70 in VARC while 65 in DI & LR.
CAT Cut off for IIM for SC candidates will have 60 in QA, 65 in VARC, and 60 in DI & LR. On the other hand, the cutoff for ST candidates will be 55 in all three sections.
Sectional cutoffs are important because that's the only reason wherein candidates have balanced performance across all areas of the CAT exam. Instead of just relying on the CAT 2024 overall score, sectional cutoffs make sure that a candidate is well-versed in all the key areas.

IIM Comprises three stages of the admission process:
Stage 1: Eligibility Check: In this stage, applicants have to apply and take the CAT exam. In addition, the applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, 45% is needed. The performance in the CAT exam is the main criterion at this stage of passing on for further admission process. IIM Mumbai will use the overall and sectional percentiles of CAT to shortlist the candidates for the next stage.
Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview: Once the candidates satisfy the CAT 2024 minimum qualifying cutoff, IIM Mumbai shortlists the candidates for the Personal Interview round. The institute considers factors like CAT score, past academic performance, work experience, and a list of gender diversity while shortlisting candidates. The institute assigns a different weightage to each of the factors. For example, the IIM Mumbai CAT 2024 score will have maximum weightage in most cases.
Stage 3: Final Selection and Composite Score: At the final stage, IIM Mumbai selects candidates on the basis of their performance in certain components. IIM Mumbai Composite scores are computed with the following weights:
