Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology, located in Chandigarh Punjab, started in 2004. SVIET is a private engineering college that has been approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC & NBA and is affiliated to IKG-PTU Jalandhar.  SVIET Chandigarh proposes academic courses for both UG (B-Tech) and PG (M-Tech) engineering subjects with its specialization streams.  SVIET has a well-rounded campus area of 23 acres of land that provides privileged facilities such as Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, laboratories, cafeterias, health centers, Hostel and Transportation, etc.

When I was studying B.Tech in this institute the fee structure felt like was little high. Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology B.Tech fee would be around Rs. 90,000 per annum. The fee also will be based on the caste and category they belonged because students with lower family income will have some concession and also do get scholarships. I also had to stay in the hostel so I had to pay fee for the hostel also and the fee was just Rs. 3000 – 4000 and it will be more for the other hostel rooms. There is also food charges and mess fee that must be paid in along with hostel rent.
