Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad was started in the year 1963 by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), it was the second Municipal Corporation in India to establish its own Medical Institute. It is affiliated with the Gujarat University and approved by Medical Council of India. The institute is affiliated with 5 city hospitals where the medical aspirants can get trained in these colleges like Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, Smt.Shardaben General Hospital, Saraspur, Ahmedabad, Shri C.H. Nagri Eye Hospital, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, Infectious Disease Hospital, Jamalpur, Ahmedabad and Tuberculosis and Chest diseases Hospital, Astodia, Ahmedabad. The college hospital is consisting of 1800 beds in total.

Fee criteria in my college are actually reasonable in terms of amenities and good quality of education but it is ver. Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College fee structure for complete five years of duration it costs around 28 Lakhs hence for per annum I paid the fee around 5.6 Lakhs and for the management quota fee is 12 lakhs per annum and for NRI quota it costs around 20 Lakhs. College also provides certain scholarships and free ships for the financially weaker sections whose parent’s annual income is less and also certain educational loans are offered. Hostel facilities are actually good and even fee is nominal mess food is actually average and the hostel is situated near the campus itself
