GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Sola, Ahmedabad, was started in the year 2009. It is affiliated with Gujarat University and approved by the Medical Council of India. The Honorable Health Minister of Gujarat inaugurated the institute. In 2009 hospital had 56 sanctioned beds, and now it has 720 beds and other critical care beds. Overall beds can be increased up to 900 based on the current infrastructure. The hospital has a well-defined HMIS which is common to all the Government of Gujarat Hospitals. The entire Medico-legal work, including the post mortem examination, is done round the clock.

I did my bachelor’s degree MBBS at GMERS College and I wish to say college often provides good academic facilities and the curriculum is actually updated and the teaching professors are actually experienced nearly 15 to 20 years and I like their teaching procedure. GMERS Medical College fee structure for MBBS Course costs approximate 3 Lakhs each year and for complete 5 years it costs around 15 Lakhs I can say it is feasible for some students but for some other students they feel expensive but the Gujarat government helps in offering scholarship facility for the economically backward categories and also Merit scholarships are available.
