The Department of Management, NIT Tiruchirappalli, is a private institute established in 2011. This management institute is one of the seven colleges that the Indian government established during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. It was the 11th management institute found out in India. This institution is Accredited and approved by AICTE and is affiliated with the National Institute of Technology.
Candidates are offered a two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), a two-year Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM), and a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) for Doctor of Business Administration. A Post Graduate Programme in Human Resources Management (PGPM-HR) was launched at its NIM Trichy campus in 2020.
The admission process for students for various courses like Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is thru the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores and is also followed by the Common Admission Process (CAP). The CAP consists of a written-ability test (WAT) and an interview. Candidates are selected based on the past academic performances, work experience, and CAT and CAP scores.
