Bishop Heber College (BHC) is the oldest minority educational institution established in 1864 by the Thanjavur Diocese of Church, South India. BHC's main objective is to cater to Christians' and students' educational needs from other religions. BHC is affiliated with Bharathidasan University, accredited with an 'A+' Grade by NACC, and received the 'Autonomy' status in 2004.BHC was recognized by UGC status as a "College with Potential for academic excellence" in 2011. Also, it is an aided educational institute under Tamil Nadu Government. Earlier, BHC was known as SPG College, the first-grade college established in Tiruchirappalli. Later, in the 1920's it was renamed Bishop Heber College. BHC is already recognized as a reputed institution for its academic standards.

Hostel Fees 

HBC offers the best hostel accommodation with all the required amenities like well-furnished spacious rooms, a hygiene mess, a dining hall, recreational facilities, etc. There are 12 hostels in BHC, 5 for boys and 6 for girls, whereas NCR students can accommodate the other. Candidates are admitted to the hostel only after securing admission at HBC. Before getting admission to the hostel, candidates must pay the establishment fees.

I have opted MBA Course and the Bishop Heber College is very much feasible and also reasonable in terms of professional education and also paying the fee is of worth. College provides good scholarship facility for the reserved students as per the norms of government and also certain educational loans are provided for the needy candidates who cannot afford the fee . College provides good hostel accommodation with necessary amenities and food availability in mess is good and it is hygiene and the hostel fee is also nominal and the rooms are well maintained and the hostel fee charges around 2k per month.

The basic eligibility is to have 50-60% in Class 12 from any recognized board. The students must opted core subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology in their Higher Secondary level. Selection of candidates will be done on basis of marks in the qualifying exam.
