College of technology and engineering Udaipur is one of the outstanding engineering colleges in the Northern region. It is an element of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. The college was established in 1964 with only a UG Program B Tech in Agricultural Engineering. Currently, CTAE Udaipur offers B Tech in 8 branches, M Tech in 12 disciplines, and a management program MBA. Research Program Ph.D. is provided in 10 different disciplines. CTAE has been among the best B.Tech colleges in Udaipur. The college has a highly qualified faculty team with national and international exposure in research and teaching. All of them are quite active in research activities. The college also offers consultancy and testing services to state government departments.
CTAE Udaipur admission process to the B Tech is done based on REAP. Interested applicants must qualify in JEE Main and then register for REAP Counselling based on valid JEE Main rank. The counseling process is centralized and administered by Rajasthan Government. Selection of the candidates for M Tech is based on GATE valid scores. Admission to the MBA is based on any national-level aptitude exam followed by GD and PI rounds. The college also offers a job-oriented post-graduate diploma program in organic agriculture. College of technology and engineering tuition fees for B Tech is nearly INR 3 Lakhs for four years. Students applying for M Tech must pay around INR 40k for the 1st academic year.
The college has a rich infrastructure with all the necessary amenities. On-campus facilities at CTAE include a library, cafeteria, hostel, medical, laboratories, workshops, and administrative blocks. The college has 5 boys hostels & 2 girls hostels. The library is a hub for more than 50000 books, journals & e-books. The college provides startup & innovation support along with NCC and NSS. Promoting innovations in individuals, startups, and MSMEs (PRISM) is a prominent mode to enable India to advance in industrial research. The CTAE campus is located about 7km from Udaipur City railway station and 2km from Rana Pratap Nagar Railway Station.
CTAE Udaipur Agriculture Engineering Department has excellent experiential learning facilities that provide hands-on experience to develop students' practical and entrepreneurial skills. A modern instructional farm of about 17 acres is used to impart practical training to candidates. The farm also has a poly house for research and teaching purpose. It also comprises a soil and water Conservation Demonstration Centre. The college has been the center for the Global Rajasthan Agri-tech Meet.
