Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust established Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2001 to deliver eminence education to the young minds with a motto of ‘Light the light within. The institute is spread in a beautiful city with 26.5 Acres of Land, 25 km from the City of Coimbatore. The institute offers 7 UG and 3 PG courses in Engineering and Technology. It is affiliated with Anna University with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology Admission
Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET) offers admission in Engineering and Management Streams. CIET provides BE / B Tech at the UG level and M Tech & MBA at the PG level. The annual intake for the UG course is 840 seats. Whereas, the intake capacity for PG courses is 78 seats. Candidates willing to secure admission at CIET Coimbatore must fulfil the eligibility norms before filling out an application form
- B Tech at CIET is available in seven branches. They are Mechatronics, CSE, Mechanical, Civil, EEE, ECE and IT.
- Students must hold a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the 12th exam. In addition, candidates must have studied PCM as the main subject.
- Admission to the B Tech at CIET Coimbatore depends on TNEA rank. The selection process for B Tech is based on TNEA Counselling. Based on 12th aggregate marks, the TNEA Rank list will be published.
- Thus, B Tech admission seekers have to register for TNEA Counselling by filling an application form. One must visit the Anna University Website to apply online
- In addition, students must satisfy the CIET Coimbatore TNEA Cut off eligibility. If students TNEA rank is equivalent to or within the prescribed cut off rank, then admission is possible.
- CIET offers admission to the PG degree M Tech in three streams. That is, Engineering Design, CSE and Communication System (CS)
- Students who have completed their graduation in B Tech can apply for M Tech admission in CIET Coimbatore. The minimum qualifying mark is 55%.
- M Tech Selection Criteria at CIET depends on GATE or TANCET Score. Thus, students must clear any of the entrance exams with valid scores.
- Aspirants seeking admission to the MBA in CIET must have done their undergraduate degree in any discipline with 50% average marks.
- The selection process for MBA at CIET depends on TANCET Score or Merit in the academic exam. Students must score well in the entrance exam as equivalent to the cut off criteria. CIET Coimbatore TANCET cut off for MBA is 24.
- The application process of CIET is online. Applicants should visit the main website of the college to fill out an application form.
Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology Fees Structure
- CIET Coimbatore B Tech fees structure cost INR 55k annually in general. The total fees will be around INR 2.2 Lakhs for four years.
- B Tech Management Quota fees in CIET Coimbatore is quite expensive than general fees. It cost approx. INR 87k per year. Whereas, the total fees expenses up to INR 3.4 Lakhs.
- M Tech fees at CIET Cost INR 1 Lakh in total. Students can make the payment on a semester basis.
