CMS College Kottayam, India, is a pioneer in education. It is the first Western-style College in the country. The College was established in 1817 by the Christian Missionary Society, which is also the CMS College full form. And it is one of the oldest colleges in India. It was also one of the first college in India to accept women students. Its reputation for quality education has spread far beyond Kerala. Initially affiliated with Madras University, it later switched affiliation with Travancore University. Currently, CMS College's affiliation is with Mahatma Gandhi University.
The College has 23 departments and offers courses in nearly all educational disciplines, including arts, science, and commerce. It is a premier institution for learning and offers several courses that cater to students from different backgrounds and academic levels. CMS College Kottayam Admission Process
CMS College UG admission is made based on post-academic scores and interviews. The College prepares a merit list of eligible students and selects them for the interview round. Unlike other colleges in Kerala, CMS College does not conduct entrance exams. Instead, interested students can fill out an online CMS College application form on the college website and provide the relevant details. Applicants must have at least 10+2 in the relevant disciplines to qualify for UG admission.
CMS College PG admission is quite straightforward. The application form asks the student to provide the required details. Once the application form is submitted on the CMS College admission portal, the candidate can select one of the three available PG programs. Moreover, the College has a career counseling centre that can help students choose the right course for their careers. Those students with bachelor’s degrees are eligible to apply for PG Courses in CMS College.
