Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology was established in 2002 in Chandigarh. This private college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. CCET Chandigarh is approved by AICTE, and MHRD, Government of India. CCET was formerly known as Central Polytechnic, Chandigarh, where it offered only diploma courses. Four BE branches are available: CSE, ECE, Civil, and Mechanical. CCET Chandigarh's admission procedure for various BE branches includes marks obtained in the entrance test followed by counseling. Students applying for BE/B Tech must appear in the JEE Mains and participate in JAC Counselling (Joint admission committee). To be shortlisted, students must score identical to the CCET Chandigarh Cut off. Students must have at least 45% marks(40% for the reserved categories) in the 10+2 examination Sciennce stream. CCET Chandigarh CSE cutoff in the year 2021 was 26958-54085 (for round 1). For Mechanical, it was 69156-115698, and for Civil Engineering, 60027-147821. CCET Chandigarh's B.Tech fee for one year is approximately 65k. There is also a provision for the lateral entry admission to B Tech, and students must clear PU LEET Examination.
Besides UG degrees, CCET Chandigarh's diploma wing offers diploma in 6 branches. Diploma courses in CCET Chandigarh are available for these branches CSE, EEE, Production & Industrial Engineering, Architectural Assistantship, and ECE. CCET Chandigarh diploma admission for Architectural Assistantship is made based on marks obtained by the candidate in the JET entrance test. CCET Chandigarh's fee for various Diploma branches is approximately 19k-20k.
CCET Sector 26 Chandigarh admission to the Ph.D. branches is based on merit scores and entrance tests. Students applying must have a Master's degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (for reserved categories 50%). Students must give the entrance test conducted by Punjab University and appear for the interview round.
CCET Chandigarh campus is spread over 46 acres of land. This college has clean, modern architecture. The laboratories here are well equipped. Other facilities on the CCET Chandigarh campus include an auditorium, medical facilities, ATM/Bank facilities, a cafeteria, a gym, parking, a cyber cafe, a library, and wifi service. College also provides separate hostel services for both boys and girls. Basic amenities like water coolers, a table chair, geysers, etc., are available.
