Bihar State has been an educational epicenter since history. From being home to ancient universities, it still holds a special position in the educational ecosystem of the country. The state is home to a central university known as the Central University of South Bihar. It is one amongst the 54 central universities managed by the Central government. It was established in 2009. Although, it is one of the 16 newly established under central university cat 2009 by the government of India. The university only had a center of development studies in the beginning. The courses provided were predominantly from the same school. Slowly and steadily, the courses expanded; today, the university has a range of interdisciplinary courses.
Central University of South Bihar courses is offered in a wide range. All the programs hold approval and recognition from UGC and AICTE. Besides, NAAC accredited the CUSB with an "A" Grade. In addition, the university offers Integrated UG and Master's degrees under 9 component schools. The courses are accessible in various streams, such as Human Science, Computer Science, Education, Law, Pharmacy, Arts, Media Studies, and many more. The university focuses on technology-based courses, although courses like social sciences & polity are also quite preferred by students. Central University of Bihar Law Courses holds recognition from the Bar Council of India.
The campus is situated on a 300-acre plot about 15 km from the main Gaya town. There are different buildings for different departments, along with some residential facilities. In addition, there are separate hostels for boys & girls with all the requisite facilities. Campus life is filled with extra-curricular activities at the undergraduate & postgraduate levels. Central University of South Bihar Hostel fee structure is INR 18k per annum, including mess expenses.
The university's vision was to provide affordable & feasible education to all residing in the state. The university has more than 150 faculty members catering to more than 2000 students. The university is trusted by a lot of notable alumni & people from different sectors. Ex-Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar inaugurated the university's new campus.
CUSB is widely known for its alumni association. It has established active connections with the Central University of Bihar notable alumni to gain a rich experience in different sectors. The university has an excellent physical & virtual infrastructure. Good hostels, health care facilities, sports complexes, and parks exist. The university has its own media studio, computer lab, wi-fi facility, and a smart classroom to enrich students' experience. The conference hall & auditorium of the university are major attractions of the entire campus. The students can get all the requisite facilities at the central university of Bihar.

Various amounts mentioned above will be charged after a certain duration. The hostel fee is Rs. 9000 per semester. The activity fees will be charged after the second semester in most of the courses.
