BIT Patna Campus came into existence by public-private partnership mode under the flagship of BIT Mesra. While the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, laid the foundation in December 2005. The chancellor of the institute is our Hon'ble president Shri Draupadi Murmu.
BIT Patna courses include both undergraduate & postgraduate courses. At UG Level, BIT offers admission to the B Tech, B Arch, BBA, and BCA. In contrast, the Postgraduate courses include M.Tech and MBA. The research option is also available in the form of a Ph.D. BIT Patna Fees structure for B Tech is approximately INR 2.95 Lakhs per annum. BIT Patna BBA fee is INR 1.48 Lakhs per year. BIT Patna BCA is a very specialized course in computer applications offered as a full-time three-year course; the cost for 1st academic year is INR 1.48 Lakhs. BIT Patna MBA is offered in 5 different disciplines; the fees will be approx. INR 2.93 Lakhs.
BIT Patna B Tech admission is made through prominent scores like JEE Mains. The BIT Patna eligibility criteria for B.Tech is a minimum of 75% in 10+2 with a valid JEE Mains score. For M.Tech, the minimum eligibility is graduation with a GATE. In the case of B. Arch admissions, the requirement is 50% in 10+2 with a NATA score. BIT Patna BBA admission or BCA is based on academic merit in 10+2. Students applying for MBA must qualify in national aptitude exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, or equivalent.
BIT Patna BTech cut-off for computer science engineering, civil engineering, and biotechnology in 2021 has been 12204, 76307, and 106035, respectively. It is important for all applicants to satisfy the cut-off criteria. BIT Patna admission form will be available online on the college's official website. The application fee for UG courses is INR 1500, and for the PG courses, it costs INR 2500.
