Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, formerly known as Kumaon Engineering College. The institution's foundation was laid under the guidance of Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari in 1986. Initially, the academic session started with 2 Branches, CSE and ECE of Bachelor of Engineering (BE/B Tech), in 1991 with a well-planned academic curriculum similar to IITs/NITs.
