Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology was established in Bidar District of Karnataka in the year 1982. BKIT is one of the top engineering institutes not only in Karnataka State but also in entire India. It has received whole physiognomies of a Provincial Engineering institute where about half of the students are from Karnataka State. The rest is from all India zones, i.e., Jharkhand, Bihar, Delhi, Punjab, UP, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat, etc.
- The institute's primary mission is to Form Outstanding Professionals in Technology & Engineering, Information Science & Management by offering need and value-based worth education.

Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology is a private institute established as one of the chief institutes in Bidar District of Karnataka in 1982.
