Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences is an autonomous institution functioning under the Government of Karnataka and was started in the year 2005. BIMS is spread to nearly 25 acres of lush green land. The institute is approved by MCI (Medical Council of India) is affiliated with RGUHS (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences).
The institute was established with a vision to cater medical education to the aspirants and serve the society in medicines and health care. Institute is well structured with excellent infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories. The faculties in the BIMS are highly educated and well experienced to guide the candidates on the right path.
- BIMS is associated with a BIMS hospital with numerous bed capacity and all required facilities for both in and outpatients.
- BIMS offers undergraduate, Postgraduate, Nursing, Paramedical courses. Under UG level MBBS program is offered with 100 students intake, MD course is offered under PG level with 18 students' information for various streams. B.Sc. Nursing is offered with 60 input and general nursing with 51 intakes—paramedical courses such as X-Ray Tech, Medical Lab Tech. /Record Tec and Health Inspector programs are offered with 20 intakes per course for a year.
- BIMS, MBBS course fee for complete 5 years course is INR 64K and admission to MBBS program is through NEET UG score. MD program fee structure per annum is INR 1.00L and the course period is three years and through NEET PG score, admission is made for PG level courses.
- The institute provides various facilities regarding academics like Wi-Fi, Library with the latest books, LCD monitors, latest software in Computer lab, AC auditorium hall, practical ground, furnished classrooms, etc.

I have completed my MBBS course at BIMS, Belagavi and I like to confess it is one of the best medical college in Karnataka State which provides quality of education and even the academic facilities are best. It is affiliated to RGUHS and college offers UG course in MBBS, Nursing, Paramedical, Doctorate of Medicine and these courses are approved by MCI. College has nice infrastructure and the facilities are good and even the hostel amenities are good. Actually I got admission in BIMS on the basis of NEET score. Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences fees for MBBS course costs approximate 16,000 for 1st year and from 2nd year I paid the fee around 13,000 hence for the entire course duration it costs around 63,000.
The college I studied MBBS is this and this is like one of the best and popular government college. It is actually located in a place called Belagavi which is in the north-western part of the Karnataka. The aim of this college is to maintain establish and promote students towards the medical field. They also have comprehensive respite and the advance treatment of the citizens and also promote students to the research field under the medical field. The campus area is almost 25 acres and is located in the premises of the district hospital at the city called as Belgaum.
