Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of India's oldest and most prestigious institutions for higher education. Founded in 1916, BHU has produced many notable alumni, including prime ministers, presidents, and other political leaders. The NAAC accredits BHU with an 'A' grade. Banaras Hindu University Admission
Banaras Hindu University course admissions are based on the marks scored in the Common University entrance tests, known as CUET UG/PG. The BHU admission process is one of the country's most competitive, with lakhs of students competing for a few thousand seats. There is a centralized process for all the UG courses except MBBS and BDS, which have separate entrance examinations.
The admission process for PG courses is also centralized, except for MD/MS/MDS. Additionally, BU conducts separate entrance tests for offering admission to the BA, BSc, B Com, B Ed, BPEd, LLB, BVSc, BPA, and BFA Courses. BHU Entrance Exam Dates will be available on the website.
- Eligibility for Banaras Hindu University B Tech, students need to appear for the CUET-UG Entrance Test.
- For admission to the Banaras Hindu University BA LLB, Candidates must have appeared for and qualified for the following entrance examinations – BHU UET, CLAT, LSAT India, and AILET
- If students wish to apply for Banaras Hindu University BSc Agriculture, they must have studied Biology and Mathematics as main subjects. Candidates must have appeared for and qualified for the BHU UET entrance examinations.
- Suppose students seeking admission to the BSc Nursing must qualify for the NEET Examination. Based on NEET valid scores, students can fill out an application form.
- For admission to the MBA, Candidates must have appeared for and qualified for the following entrance examinations – CAT, XAT, CMAT, and GMAT.
- For BHU MBBS Admission, Candidates must have appeared for and qualified for the NEET UG entrance examination. Further, they must attend a NEET counseling session where they will be allotted seats based on their preference and availability.
- Candidates need to fill out the BHU admission form by visiting the official website of the BHU. The application process generally starts in March.
- The application fee is 500 INR for the general category and 250 INR for SC/ST candidates.

Banaras Hindu University Facilities
Banaras Hindu University has eight hostels that can accommodate more than 4,500 students. The hostels have different types of occupancies, such as single rooms, double rooms, and triple rooms. The fees for the room depend on the type of room. The Banaras Hindu University hostel fee for single occupancy is Rs. 4,500 per month, and the total hostel fee for double occupancy is Rs. 2,000 per month. The mess fee is Rs. 250 per month.
BHU Hostel facilities include laundry service, 24-hour water and electricity, Wi-Fi, and a common room. The hostels also have a security guard 24 hours a day. The hostel staff is helpful and always available to help students with problems. The hostels are close to the university campus, so students can easily walk to classes.
