It has completed more than two decades since its establishment and aims to become a premier institute of academic excellence. Around 20 kilometres from Silchar, in the town of Dargakona, is where Assam University's main campus is situated. Broad hillocks and a typical northeastern scenery surround the campus. Assam University Course Admissions
Candidates seeking admission to the UG or PG Courses at Assam University must take up the Central University Entrance Test that is CUET UG/PG. The valid scores determine admission. In contrast, the seat allotment process takes place through counselling.
- Admission to the B.Pharm in Assam university, The candidate should be a 12th pass out with 50% aggregate marks. The main subjects for B.pharm should be physics, chemistry in 12th and Mathematics and biology in 10th.
- Admission to the B Tech in Assam University is based on JEE Main scores. Therefore, students are required to clear JEE Main with a valid score that should be equivalent to the Assam University JEE Main cutoff.
- Candidates for admission to the Assam University MBA programme must have earned a graduate degree in any subject from a recognized institution with a minimum of 60% overall or an equivalent CGPA, or they must have earned a graduate degree in any discipline and scored at least 60% in the CAT exam.
- Applicants who do not have a valid CAT score must take a Department-conducted entrance exam.
- The written test winners and those chosen for further consideration based on their CAT scores will be contacted for the group discussion and interview.

- Visit the official university website and complete the registration process for a particular course.
- Fill out all the required personal information and academic details.
- Upload a passport-size photograph soft copy.
- Deposit the Assam University application fees of INR 500 (For SC/ST and PwD - INR 300).
- Click on the submit option after filling out the application form.
- A receipt for the completed application will be emailed to the candidate's registered email address.
- A candidate may apply for just two courses; separate applications must be filed for each course.

Assam University Placement
A division for career counselling and placement is available at Assam University. The cell's tasks include planning workshops and lectures by business executives and placement consultants and creating placement brochures and resumes, bios, and curriculum vitae for students. Assam University Infrastructure & Facilities
- Library - A central library at Assam University houses a collection of more than 1,27,000 books. Additionally, it offers subscriptions to over 1,100 print and online periodicals. Also, the e-Shodh Sindhu (INFLIBNET), DELNET, & DELCON groups, which are accessible from everywhere on campus, provide access to more than 10,000 electronic resources. The library uses Koha Integrated Library Management Software to deliver all academic library services in an automated setting (ILMS). In addition, it contains a reading room with a capacity for 200 people and a lab with 20 nodes for Internet connection.
- Assam university Hostel - On the university campus, there are five hostels for female students and nine for male students. Basic amenities are provided in the hostels. However, there are a limited number of hostel beds. Thus not every student will be able to stay there. The number of open beds in the hostel determines the availability of seats. There is also a separate booklet with the hostel's rules for conduct and boundaries. Assam university hostel fees is approx. INR 22,000 per annum.
