Arul Anandar College was initially recognized in 1970 as De La Salle College at Karumathur, Madurai but later in the year 1972 it was retitled as Arul Anandar. The college has been granted autonomous status by UGC and is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. The college is accredited with grade ‘A’ by NAAC and is a minority Catholic co-educational institution.
