Army Institute of Technology in India is a prominent college established in 1994 under the aegis of the Amry Welfare Education Society. The primary vision of the college is to provide a stable & conducive environment for the children of defense personnel to develop their physical and intellectual presence to produce engineers of the highest caliber. The institute is affiliated with Savitribhai Phule Pune University. NAAC has awarded AIT Pune with an "A" grade of accreditation. As well it has approval from AICTE to offer technical education. The 32 acres that make up the Army Institute of Technology Pune campus. The institute focuses on outcome-based education that enables students, partners, and employers to participate in the ecosystem.
The Army institute of technology courses includes undergraduate course B.Tech/ BE and post-graduation is M.Tech/ME. B Tech has five streams: Computer Engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, and Electronics & Telecommunication. AIT Pune B Tech fees are INR 2 Lakhs per annum. The M.E/B Tech program is offered in mechanical engineering/machine design specialization. Army institute of technology M Tech fees is INR 1.2 Lakhs per year.
Army institute of technology Course admission is solely based on the performance in the entrance test followed by counseling. Students must confirm that they meet the preferred course requirements before filling out the AIT Pune application form. Admission to the B Tech is based on JEE Main Entrance test conducted by NTA. It is mandatory to have an army background and have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, while Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Technical vocational subjects are optional subjects. All India Rank is the basis of seat allotment. Based on JEE's Main rank, a merit list will be prepared. GATE scores are acceptable for admission to the ME Mechanical Engineering Design program
The admission procedure for AIT Pune is completely online. The major step is to produce the proof of eligibility in different categories like a ward of serving Army personnel or of a regular pensioner, a ward of an APS personnel, or a ward of an APS personnel. The college website provides full admission details of applying through the application form using the primary documents. The provisional AIT Pune merit list for undergraduate engineering programs is released in the first week of September, and the second merit list comes out in the second week of the same month. Students must ensure the Army institute of technology Cut off criteria as if it differs for each specialization. AIT Pune CSE Cut off was 57439 (All India Rank), while the percentile stood at 93.53.
AIT Pune campus facilities comprise well-structured hostels, medical facilities, wi-fi, laboratories, and other amenities. There is a total of 4 hostels; 3 for boys and 1 for girls. Army institute of technology Hostel fees is around 49k, and mess fees are INR 39k. Additionally, students must pay INR 20k as a security deposit (Refundable). The academic blocks & library are closely interconnected through high network facilities. The governing & administration structure is one-tier. It is operated by the Army Welfare Education Society and includes the Chief Of Army Staff of the Indian Army as the president of its board of directors.
