Alwar Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) is a top-notch college in North India, located in Alwar, Rajasthan. It was started in 2005. Because of its excellent infrastructure and academic quality, IET has received accreditation from the NBA, which is a government organization under AICTE in New Delhi. This is the first time such accreditation has been granted to a college in Rajasthan.
IET is proud to have received TEQIP-II funding worth 4 crore from the World Bank, making it the only private institute in Rajasthan to receive this grant. The college offers undergraduate degrees in Engineering disciplines like EE, ECE, CSE, and MECH. Additionally, it offers postgraduate courses (M.Tech.) in all engineering disciplines. They also focus on management education by offering an MBA.

Alwar Institute of Engineering and Technology Course Admission
The IET Alwar admission process is designed to ensure that pupils are admitted based on their academic qualifications and eligibility criteria.
For B.Tech Students:
- Students applying for B.Tech programs must have completed their 10+2 exam with Physics and Maths as required subjects, along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.
- They should have gained at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category students) in each of the subjects.
- Selection for the B Tech is based on the JEE Main Rank followed by REAP Counselling.
- Diploma/B.Sc students can also apply through the Lateral Entry Engineering Programme (LEEP) for admission into the second year of B.Tech, with 20% of seats reserved for this category.
For MBA Students:
- Graduates with 50% marks can apply for the MBA program. The MBA program accepts candidates based on their graduation scores and performance in entrance examinations like CMAT/CAT, etc.

Here at IET Alwar, the campus is big, about 30 acres of green land with lots of trees and nice landscaping. There are fifteen buildings for classes, offices, hostels, and other things. The total area covered by all the buildings is about 11 Lacs Sq. Ft. They have 90 classrooms, each with enough space for 60 to 100 students. The classrooms are bright and have good sound quality. They also have modern furniture and things like projectors. There are more than 120 labs for different subjects. These labs have all the latest equipment needed for learning. The computer labs are modern and well-furnished.
Alwar Institute of Engineering and Technology hostel rooms can accommodate 2000 students. There's a big eating area for students, with space for entertainment too. They have backup power and a water purification plant. There's a medical center and good internet access everywhere on campus.
