Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a central public university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1875 as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College and became a university in 1920. It comprises three off-campus centers: AMU Malappuram Campus ( Kerala ), Kishanganj Centre (Bihar), and AMU Murshidabad Centre (West Bengal). AMU offers more than 300 courses. Aligarh Muslim University Admission Process
Admissions to the AMU usually involve a combination of entrance exams, academic qualifications, and interviews. Since it is a central university, it accepts CUET scores to grant admission. Besides, it accepts another national-level entrance test for professional courses. In addition, the AMU form must be filled out before the last date for Aligarh Muslim University admission. Here is the admission process for some of the popular courses:
- Candidates must appear for the Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam (AMUEEE) to be admitted to the B Tech courses. It is an online entrance test conducted for 3 hrs. Questions will be asked about PCMB subjects in class 12th.
- Aligarh Muslim University Merit list will be created. Students featured on the merit list are eligible to participate in the counseling rounds.
- Candidates must appear for the NEET conducted by the NTA. Based on the NEET score, candidates will be shortlisted. Shortlisted applicants will then have to appear for counseling.
- For admission to the MBA, Candidates must appear for the Common Admission Test conducted by AMU.
