Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009 by a trust named Akshaya Charitable Trust, founded by professionals who have 25+ years of experience in the industry. The main aim is to convey high-virtue education with sturdy morals for the students & craft them into universal professionals. A renowned professor, Dr K. Thanushkodi, a former syndicate member of Anna University with more than 35 years of experience researching, teaching, and administrative experiences in govt. Engineering colleges are guiding ACET.

Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology offers admission in UG and PG-level engineering streams. AICTE approves all the UG and PG courses offered by ACET. It is also an ISO-certified institute. ACET offers UG degree B Tech in five disciplines. At the same time, PG degree M Tech is available in three major fields. Admission at Akshaya College is based on the entrance exam and academic marks.
- Aspirants willing to apply for B Tech admission in ACET Coimbatore must apply based on TNEA Rank. In addition, candidates must pass 12th with at least 45% aggregate marks.
- Based on the 12th percentile, candidates have to register for TNEA Counselling. The mode of registration is online. Applicants have to visit the Anna University website to fill TNEA application form.
- Later, the admission authority will release the TNEA rank/merit list. Applicants whose name features in the merit list can participate in counselling sessions.
- The student's TNEA rank must be equivalent to the ACET Coimbatore TNEA Cut off norms. Based on TNEA rank and choices of preferences, seat allocation takes place through counselling.
- Students seeking B Tech admission under Management Quota at ACET must fill out an information slip. Students must visit the college campus to collect the slip. Then, fill in the details and submit them to the admission office.
- ACET will conduct a separate entrance test for students seeking direct admission to B Tech. After filling information slip, applicants have to fill out the common application form for an entrance exam. The mode of the application process is online.
- After qualifying for the entrance test, selected students will receive the call letters. Those students must report at the college campus.
- For admission to the M Tech in ACET, students must qualify for GATE or TANCET Exams. Additionally, students shall have obtained 50% average marks at the UG level in B Tech.
- Students who qualify for TANCET have to attend counselling. The mode of counselling registration is online.
Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology Fees Structure
- Akshaya College's fee structure for B Tech costs nearly INR 65k annually. B Tech Management Quota fees in ACET Coimbatore cost around INR 70k per annum.
- M Tech general fees in ACET cost nearly INR 1.2 Lakhs in total. At the same time, M Tech management quota fees in ACET cost around INR 1.4 Lakhs for two years.

Akshaya College was rewarded as "Best college for Placement" by ASSOCHAM. The college has a dedicated placement committee that assists engineering students at every stage of the placement process. It organizes Pre-placement training, mock interviews, group discussions, industrial visits, seminars, workshops, in-plant training, career guidance programs, etc.
