Mumbai University, also known as the University of Mumbai, is one of India's oldest and most renowned universities. Every year, thousands of applicants apply for admission to Mumbai University. Till today, the University has gained enormous respect in the industry and has won several accolades for its teaching pedagogy. The Mumbai University NIRF Rankings are 82nd among the top 100 institutions in the country in the overall category. Moreover, NAAC has accredited it with an "A" grade.

How to get admission to Mumbai University

Step 1: Mumbai University Online registration: The first step of the admission process is online registration. Interested candidates must visit Mumbai University's official website and register. A registration fee must be paid online while filling out the application form. Therefore, candidates must read the instructions carefully before completing the application form.

Step 2: Filling out the Mumbai University application form: After successful registration, candidates must fill out the application form with all the mandatory details such as personal details, academic details, course preferences, and contact details. Candidates must upload their photograph, signature, and relevant certificates and documents.

Step 3: Payment of application fees: Candidates must pay the application fee online after completing the application form. The application fee varies depending on the course applied for.

Step 4: Verification of documents: After submitting the application form online, candidates must visit the designated document verification centre of Mumbai University along with all the relevant documents.

Step 5: Merit list: After the document verification, the university will prepare a merit list for each course. The merit list will be created based on the candidate's academic performance and other criteria specified by the University.

Step 6: Admission: Candidates on the merit list will be called for admission counselling. At the time of counselling, candidates need to bring all the relevant credentials in their originals along with their photocopies. During counselling, candidates must select the course and the college they choose.

Mumbai University offers PG Diploma and PGDM programs that give out outcomes similar to the MBA program. The minimum requirement is to have passed a graduation degree from a recognized University with a min of 50% mark.

The Candidates interested in the BCA program must have passed 10+2 board exams with a min of 50% in the science stream. It is mandatory to have good scores in mathematics.

There is no entrance exam. Admission to the B Com at Mumbai University is granted based on academic merit. Thus, students must meet basic eligibility criteria: passing 10+2 with minimum aggregate marks.
