The Department of Distance and Continuing Education, School of Open Learning (SOL), is part of the University of Delhi. It has been offering distance education since 1962. It has many programs for students to learn from home. DU SOL offers courses at UG and PG levels via distance learning. These include BA, B. Com, BBA, B Lib, BMS, M Lib, MA, MBA and M Com.
The Delhi University Distance Education admission process usually starts in June or July. It will release the admission notice prior. DU SOL Courses at the UG level include BA, B. Com, BBA, B Lib, and BMS. DU SOL Admission is granted on the basis of academic merit. There is no entrance exam. According to the Distance Education Board (DEB) guidelines, candidates don't have to take the CUET to get into the DU SOL.
In most programs offered by the DU SOL, there isn't a seat limit (except for BA Prog. with Computer Application & BA Prog. with Psychology). Thus, there is a provision for DU SOL Direct admission for candidates as long as they meet the eligibility criteria for the program they're interested in.
However, candidates must satisfy the minimum DU SOL admission eligibility requirement. The basic eligibility is passing a 10+2 grade. The mode of applying for the distance courses is online.

DU SOL offers distance learning M Lib, MA, and M. Com programs with a duration of 2-4 years. To be eligible, you need a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% marks (relaxed to 40% for reserved categories). DU SOL programs provide flexibility. Alongside this, you can take certification courses, internships, etc., to strengthen your profile and increase employability. Admission is solely based on academic merit. Candidates must submit the forms before the deadline, which is the Last date for DU SOL admission.

The process to apply for admission to the School of Open Learning at Delhi University is as follows:
All courses at SOL have annual exams in May/June. Students must submit exam forms and fees to take exams. The assessment is a written test with 200-word long and 100-word short answers covering the whole syllabus. Different levels of questions assess students' conceptual understanding, writing skills, etc. Evaluation measures subject knowledge, presentation, writing, etc. The results of the Delhi University School of Open Learning will be posted on the official website. Students who feel evaluated unfairly might request rechecking or re-evaluation. Fair, impartial, and complete evaluations are sought.

The DU SOL Distance MBA admission process is based on a merit system. Apart from that, they must sign up at the SOL website, complete their admission form and pay the registration fee online. Other conditions and restrictions include looking at the respective course criteria, which may differ. After the candidate completes the SOL application form, SOL then comes up with the merit list, about the marks gotten from the qualifying exams. Finally, before they join the university, they are required to go through some formalities such as filling out the acceptance entry and paying fees that may include the admission fee. Documents needed are certificates of the previous education standard, photo ID, photograph, and, if necessary, category and income certificates.
