University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore B Tech Admission

UAS's College of Agriculture Bangalore offers admission to the B Tech in two disciplines. Candidates for the programme must have qualified PCMB in their 10+2. In addition, the minimum qualifying marks should be above 45% marks. Besides, they need to appear for KCET Entrance Exam. Those who qualify for the examination will be eligible to attend KCET Counselling. It will be administrated by KEA to allot the seats for merit holders.

University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore BSc Admission

GKVK UAS Bangalore offers admission to the BSc at the UG level. BSc is a three years course in which candidates Acquire knowledge of the principles of biotechnology to provide a solid foundation for understanding, developing and advancing ideas in life sciences. The minimum eligibility requirement for BSc is a 10+2 pass with at least 45% in the Science Stream.

One of the most popular specializations among applicants is UAS Bangalore Bsc agriculture which provides extensive practical expertise in crop farming practices and an in-depth understanding of agri-allied sectors. Candidate must have merit in 10+2 with PCB and any other Science course or Inter(Agri). In addition, the University will hold a Practical Test (PT) for 200 marks to fill the seats designated for General Quota.

University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore MBA

UAS offers admission to the two-year MBA in Agri-Business. It is one of the popular programmes amongst B Tech Agriculture Engg students.

  • For admission to the MBA, candidates shall have a bachelor's degree in agriculture, agricultural marketing and cooperation, horticulture, sericulture, forestry, and agricultural biotechnology.
  • Candidates who have possessed B.Tech. (food Science & technology), B.Tech. (Agri. engineering) are also eligible to apply.
  • Furthermore, applicants must appear for the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore Entrance Exam.
  • A merit list will be formed based on the UAS Bangalore Results of the Entrance Exam.

University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore M Tech

Candidates shall have completed B. Tech in the concerned stream for admission to the M Tech Programme. Additionally, they must appear for an internal entrance exam administrated by the University. M Tech programme is available in Processing and Food Engineering.

UAS Bangalore Course Admission

A common inter se UAS Bangalore merit list will be created for each group of subjects. In addition, UAS Bangalore Counselling and Admission facilitate admission to master's degree programmes on the designated dates (first round).

According to the information provided in the UAS Bangalore Prospectus, the admission committee will distribute seats subject-wise in each group on the day of counselling based on the merit/ reservation policy of the State Government using the rotation mechanism.

Therefore, the candidates are encouraged to come prepared for counselling and admission with their original documentation and the necessary DD drawn in the amount of the appropriate fee in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore.

University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore PhD Admission

Numerous research-level PhD programmes are available at UAS Bangalore. The prerequisite for qualifying is having earned a master's degree or an equivalent credential in the pertinent fields.

A Master's degree in the relevant field or an equivalent degree from agricultural/deemed universities/institutes recognized by ICAR, New Delhi, in terms of equivalent course duration, with a CGPA of 2.50/4.00 or OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or its equivalent, is required for the UAS Bangalore PhD Admission. In addition, candidates must appear for an entrance test and a personal interview.

A weighted average of 50% will be given to academic achievement, 45% to written admission exams, and 5% to factors like sports, culture, NSS, better OGPA, research publications, ICAR, CSIR, UGC, and DBT fellowships. To be eligible for admission or re-admission, applicants must get a minimum score of 50% (or 35% in the case of SC/ST and Cat-I) on these (as in Table 1 and Annexure - I).

There won't be any counselling available for doctoral programmes. However, based on merit and the current reservation policy, the PG Admission Committee will distribute seats according to the seat matrix. Suppose any seats remain vacant owing to a lack of qualified candidates. In that case, they will be transferred to the General Merit category in the relevant topic and distributed by the General Merit criteria.

How to get admission in UAS Bangalore?

  • Candidates can obtain the application form from the University's website at the UAS Bangalore Agri portal.
  • Only the completed UAS Bangalore application form in the specified format must be delivered to the GKVK, UAS Bangalore Registrar, by the UAS Bangalore academic calendar deadline.
  • The cost of the application form is Rs. 500 for general applicants and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Cat-1 applicants (with the most recent caste certificate).
  • The application fee must be paid as a DD "payable to The Comptroller, UAS, GKVK".

The list of chosen applicants will be posted on the UAS Bangalore official website for the applicants' information. The candidates are recommended to show up, register for the course, and submit their original documentation, along with the required payment, by the deadline.
