TIAS has initiated its distance learning program to help working professionals and those deprived of continuing higher studies with conventional learning. This institute offers only a distance PGDM program as part of the academics. They don't offer any other courses. This PGDM program at TIAS CDL is AICTE-approved. The distance PGDM curriculum is equivalent to an MBA course.

The program is designed for those willing to build their career and learn skills in business management, organizational skills, and more. Admission at TIAS CDL will depend on academic merit. The selections are based on the submission of an online application form. The program training provides Industry Collaboration, Exposure to Business Houses, a Practical Approach with case studies, an emphasis on analytical skills, and more. TIAS Distance Learning PGDM admissions

Technical College distance PGDM program is a two-year program. The curriculum is curated to target the graduates deprived of formal college education in conventional mode. The entire syllabus is AICTE-approved. The course is affordable compared to a regular PGDM/ MBA. The distance degree certificate is on par with the regular MBA program from any recognized university.  

The main aim of course training is to provide expertise to improve the capabilities & technical knowledge required for the career development of the upcoming generation through quality education.

The program is 3 years (6 semesters). The curriculum is available in different specializations that the candidates can choose. The available PGDM specializations are:

  • PGDM in General
  • PGDM in Financial Management
  • PGDM in Operations Management
  • PGDM in Marketing Management 
  • PGDM in Human Resource Management 

TIAS Eligibility Criteria:

The applicants must meet the admission criteria to apply for the PGDM program. They must have a graduation degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50%. They must have clearance of CAT / MAT / NAT / TECNIA MAT or any other entrance test conducted by State Governments / any other recognized body.

Candidates who have not appeared or have appeared in any qualifying exam can also apply for admissions. If their results are not declared on or before the last dates for submission of Application Forms for the PGDM Program, they can admit provisional certificates of the qualifying exam.  

TIAS institute will also conduct an entrance test (TECNIAMAT) at the institute level. To appear at TECNIAMAT, the student must fill out the entrance test application form and submit it as instructed.

Admissions to this institute will be held twice a year, in January and July. It will be based on the criteria prescribed under the guidelines of the UGC-AICTE-DEC committee. This institute also offers lateral admissions, i.e., admission for the second year on permissible conditions that the applicants must have partially completed the MBA/ PGDM program from a recognized University.

The PGDM program TIAS-CDL has contact hours, including work relating to Lectures, Tutorials, and Projects (LTP). The academic department of the institute will be flexible in deciding course-wise requirements.

TIAS Syllabus and program structure

Post Graduate Diploma in Management program structure and credits are finalized based on the stakeholders' needs and the general structure of the programs. The candidates must meet the credit points to get the course certification by the end of the program.

  • The minimum number of classroom contact teaching credits for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management program is 96, and fieldwork/ internship of 06 credits.
  • Therefore, the minimum number of credits that must be secured for the award of the PGDM course is 102 credits. 
  • Out of a minimum of 96 credits, 54 credits are allotted for core courses, and the rest of 42 credits are for elective subjects.

TIAS CDL Admission Process

Domestic candidates can apply for the TIAS Distance Education PGDM course. The form must be submitted online. Below are the simple steps to be followed by the eligible candidates to proceed with the admission process.

  • Firstly, the qualified students must visit the official website of TIAS CDL at https://cdl.tecnia.in/
  • Students must look for the admission tab of the website page and click on the application link.
  • After opening the application form, the candidates must enter primary information, such as personal and academic information, using the login ID.
  •  Next, they must submit relevant educational information and relevant details of the applicant.
  • To complete the application process, the applicants must pay the institute application fee of INR 1000. The payment has to be made online through card/ net banking or UPI.  
  • Once the fee receipt and the form copy are submitted to the University, the student will be given the confirmation and can start their course journey at the institute.

The Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies Distance MBA admission process is easy and accommodative for all students seeking to pursue Distance Education. The entrance requirements for a prospective student include the following; minimum requirement for admission is a Bachelor’s degree with an average score of 50%. The steps to be followed are: The admission application form for the TIAS online application and payment of an application fee of INR 1000; The candidates are then to attach all the relevant documents. The selection is merit-based and the students who have given the Common Admission Test CAT or the Management Admission Test MAT or the institute’s own TECNIAMAT are preferred. TIAS also accept lateral entry students who are studying an MBA or known as PGDM part-time at other institutions.
