SMC offers MBBS, M.D, MS and various other diploma courses. I’ve pursued MBBS at SMC. The college has about 150 seats vacancies for the MBBS course alone. To qualify for MBBS, the candidates should secure 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology in their 12th grade Subbaiah Medical College admissions are done based on the NEET-UG scores, SMC NEET cutoff varies every year. Irrespective of the mode of admission, candidates will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria. SMC offers a little leeway for those who don’t qualify the entrance exams, where they are provided with a chance to get through the SMC direct admissions.
Mainly the medical admission like the bachelor level MBBS will be through the NEET. This is the common entrance test which all must write for the MBBS admissions. Before they used to provide admission based on the KCET or COMEDK but the rules have changed and NEET is been mandatory for the MBBS seat. Keeping the marks we have obtained in the NEET we must apply for the counselling in the KEA website which is the Karnataka examination Authority. NEET application forms will be released in the month of December and the entrance exam will be held in the May month.
