St. Johns Medical College admissions for MBBS are done through KEA counseling post qualifying NEET. SJMC application fee is minimal, and has to be submitted at the institute. The college reserves a number of seats based on the KEA and Karnataka state govt. norms. In order to get through the MBBS program, the candidates will have to meet the SJMC eligibility criteria which includes the candidate should have passed their 12th in science stream with 50% aggregate and should be of min. 17 years of age. Merit admissions are strictly done based on NEET and KCET. SJMC NEET cut off varies yearly. SJMC direct admissions are done for those who can’t get through merit; there are fewer seats available for this.
If I have to tell about admission, it was all done purely online. I also applied online by filling the application form online. The MBBS qualified candidates must actually apply for the seat through KEA counselling once the NEET exam is completed. In the 10+2 English subject is mandatory and other optional subjects should be physics, chemistry and biology or biotechnology. I also wrote the NEET and then took admission through the counselling so yeah my fee was also quite feasible. The counselling will be held for which we have to apply in the KEA website and then through that we get seat.
