Ssm Institute Of Engineering And Technology was established in 2011. The college's motto is to provide prominent practical education to future technocrats and make them learn the art of being independent in all perspectives in their lifetime. This college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and has gained affiliation from Anna University. SSM Institute offers courses BE/B Tech at the UG level and ME/M Tech at the PG level. Admission is based on an entrance exam, academic merit, followed by counselling.

  • Admission to the BE/B Tech at SSM Institute program is based on the merit list released by TNEA based on 10+12 marks and the following the counselling procedure of Anna University.
  • Students who have secured above 50% in the 10+2 science stream can apply for B Tech admission at SSM Institute. After the result declaration, candidates must register for TNEA counselling based on their 10+2 score

  • SSM provides a post-graduate level degree of M. Tech in domains  Thermal Engineering, and Communication Systems
  • Candidates who have completed graduation in B.E/ B. TECH with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission to the M. TECH program.
  • In addition to the prior criterion, they must have also cleared the TANCET entrance exam with a good score equal to the cut-off norms.
  • Seat allocation takes place through TANCET Counselling. Thus students who qualified in the entrance exam need to participate in counselling phases to fill their preferences.

SSM institute will provide admission to the B Tech & M Tech based on Anna University's norms. Thus, interested and eligible applicants can seek admission by filling an application form (TNEA/TANCET). Thus, the mode of SSMIET application form filling is online

  • For B Tech admission in SSM Institute, candidates must apply online for TNEA counselling based on their average score obtained in 10+2.
  • For M Tech admission, candidates must sit for a TANCET entrance test. After qualifying in the exam, eligible students have to participate in TANCET counselling.
