Eligibility Criteria

To pass the eligibility criteria for admission in the BE courses at Sri Krishna Institute of Technology, candidates must have passed 10+2 or any intermediate level examination from any recognized university with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. In addition, candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% in aggregation. The 5% aggregate marks relaxation will be offered to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the BE courses at SKIT is offered under three different categories.

  • The candidates have to appear in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Karnataka Government. For Government Quota, the candidate's evaluation will be based on the marks scored in the entrance test and the merit of the students.
  • 50% weightage will be given to the CET score and 50% weightage to the merit achieved by the student in the last qualifying academic exam. The rank will be declared based on this.
  • The seat allocation for government seats will take place through KCET Counselling. Then, based on KCET merit rank and choice of preferences, seats will be allotted to the students.
  • Non-Karnataka Candidate students have to undertake a COMEDK Entrance Test. The student's evaluation will be based on the marks scored in the entrance exam.
  • In SKIT, certain seats are reserved for Management Quota. Candidates willing to secure direct admission at SKIT for B Tech must satisfy the eligibility requirements defined by the college.
  • Candidates willing to apply for the BE courses at SKIET should visit the institute's official website and download the application form from there.
  • After filling up the application form and attaching the copies of the required documents, candidates must send the application form to the college.

I took Sri Krishna Institute of Technology admission through management seat and visit the institute’s admission council. I met the administration spoke about the admission to BE course. I took computer science and engineering stream under BE and when I went they gave me information about the college I liked it so I joined for admission.

May i know the selection criteria for Civil engineering stream?

Hi Madhan,

Selection for B. Tech course (for all streams) is based on the JEE main percentile or KCET/COMEDK score which will be followed by the interview in the institute. Aspirant has to meet the eligibility criteria before taking the admission in the institute. Minimum eligibility criteria is that student should have scored 45% in 12th class exam with Maths and Physics as mandatory subjects.
