South Asian University is a prominent university in Delhi. The educational institution is recognized by University Grants Commission to provide education to the students of South Asia. Being a  research-focused university, SAU currently offers Post Graduate and Doctoral degrees. The important South Asian University admission process highlights:

  • The application process for SAU is common to all courses
  • Candidates are expected to hold a master's degree for any research program

South Asian University  MA Admission

The MA program the SAU is provided in three disciplines, namely, Economics, International Relations & Sociology. The eligibility criterion is as follows:

  • In the case of Economics; a minimum 50% score in a Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as one of the major subjects
  • In the case of International relations & sociology, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is needed to secure a seat at the University.
  • Candidates are required to take up the entrance test conducted by SAU. After qualifying in the exam, they must undergo a personal interview.

South Asian University MSC Admission

The MSC program is offered in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Biotechnology. The candidate can have either a three or four-year Bachelor's degree to be eligible. However, preference is given to applicants with BSc in the concerned discipline. In addition, they shall have obtained above 50% at the UG level. However, the selection is based on an entrance test followed by a Personal Interview. Students who wish to apply for South Asian University MSC Computer Science shall have possessed their Bachelor's degree B Tech in CSE or any equivalent degree.

South Asian University LLM Admission

LLM is a prominent postgraduate course offered by the SAU to give insights into subjects like International Law, Legal Theory & Jurisprudence, Human Rights Law, and many more. Apart from traditional information, it provides weekly legal exposure to practical information across various centers of excellence. There is an equal opportunity to access different fields of law by accessing the course.

The eligibility criterion for the course are as follows:

  • Students with an LLB degree from a recognized university can apply for the South Asian University Law course LLM.
  • Selection is based on the entrance test followed by interview rounds. Students are required to make online registration by logging into the official website.

South Asian University Ph.D. Admission

The University offers a research Ph.D. program in the following specializations:

The eligibility criterion for specializations varies as per the fields described below:

  • In the case of Economics, International Relations & Sociology; the eligibility criterion is a Masters's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks
  • In the case of applied mathematics, biotechnology, and computer science; there is a minimum 55% requirement for the Bachelor's degree
  • In the case of legal studies; the Masters's degree LLM in a relevant field with 50% marks is relevant

South Asian University New Delhi Scholarship

  1. President's Scholarship: This facility is exclusively for MA, MSC & LLM. Students where the students scoring the highest marks on the entrance test is subsidized with some benefit. Only two students were selected; one from the Indian list & other from the non-Indian list.
  2. SAARC India silver Jubilee Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Masters & Ph.D. students. Ministry Of External Affairs offers it for meritorious students belonging to countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives & Nepal
  3. SAU Merit Scholarships: Two merit scholarships are available for the academic programs. It is granted based on an entrance test conducted for both the Indian & Non-Indian category students

South Asian University Entrance Exam Details

SAU conducts entrance examinations for admissions to different courses. The South Asian University entrance exam pattern differs for each course. There can be a negative marking for each wrong answer as well. The exam will be directed in offline mode. It will be conducted at multiple centers across SAARC Nations.

South Asian University Admission procedure for MSC and the eligibility for MSC in South Asian University.

South Asian University MSC eligibility is:

  • for MSC admission inSouth Asian University the aspirants must have completed bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years from an institution recognized by the government
  • And for the aspirants candidates from the annual system it is 55% and above South Asian University MSC admission.
  • For those aspirants from the semester system (percentage): 60% and above for admission in South Asian University MSC

South Asian University MSC admission is:
