Silicon Institute of Technology (SIT) was established in the year 2000 to educate students in professional ethics, technological skills, and human values to attain excellence in technical research and education. The Institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi and is affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Rourkela. SIT's scholarships is made available to deserving students monitored by the governing committee and the Student Welfare Fund. Silicon Institute offers B Tech at the UG level. While M Tech, MCA and MSc at the PG level.

Silicon Institute of Technology B.Tech Admission

For admission to the B.Tech degree at Silicon Institute, applicants must satisfy the qualifying standards set forth by the Institute before being admitted.

  1. Applicants must have a passing percentage of at least 45% percent on their 12th boards to be eligible.
  2. Whereas, the selection of the candidates for B Tech admission in Silicon Institute depends on their valid score obtained in OJEE or JEE Main entrance exam.

For admission to the MCA at Silicon Institute, the candidate must have graduated with a minimum cumulative grade point of 50% on an average. The selection will be based on the academic merit in the qualifying exam. In addition, students must have studied Mathematics as the main subject at UG or 10+2 level.

Silicon Institute of Technology M.Tech Admissions

Students must meet the eligibility conditions of the Institute before applying for admission to the M.Tech program at the SIT. The following preconditions must be met to be accepted for this course

  1. The candidate should have at least 50% in graduation (BE/B Tech or equivalent) from any recognized University,
  2. In addition, candidates have to appear for the national level entrance exam that is GATE and must perform well in it.

Silicon Institute of Technology Application Process

  • Admissions to the Silicon Institute of Technology are done through the counselling conducted by the Odisha Government based on the entrance examinations merits.
  • Students are admitted based on their performance in this examination. In addition, students admitted to second-year or lateral entrance programs are evaluated based on their performance in the OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination).
  • MTech students are admitted through a process of counselling that is based on their GATE results.
  • Thus, applicants must register for the respective exams by logging into the official web portal online.

I have opted B Tech in computer science stream and at present am in final year. Silicon Institute of Technology admissions for B Tech course will be given on the basis of entrance exam score. I had appeared for OJEE Entrance Exam and secured good rank based on that I took admission in this college. SIT scholarships are actually provided for the meritorious students who have secured good percentage in academic examination. SIT admission fee for B Tech expenses for 1st year around 97,000 and for complete four years of duration it costs around 3.8 Lakhs hence the fee structure is moderate and reasonable

The mode of application for B-Tech admissions at SIT is online. Eligible students can visit the official website of the college, fill in the form, attach the necessary docs, pay the form, and then make the submission.

SIT accepts JEE Main scores for B-Tech admissions. The Silicon Institute of Technology cut-off for B-Tech admissions ranges from 779305 to 1507071 for the given specializations.

Prospective candidates must clear the JEE Main entrance exam to qualify for B Tech admission. Additionally, they must satisfy the Silicon Institute of Technology CSE Cut off. The final seat allotment will be done through the OJEE Counselling process based on JEE Main merit. The counselling process includes online registration, choice filling, document verification, seat allocation, and college reporting.
