SMK Fomra Institute of Technology is popularly known as SKMFIT, established in 2001. The mission of the Institute is to achieve excellence in academics. AICTE approves SKMFIT and affiliated with AU, Chennai. The Institute offers BE and ME courses with various specializations.

BE course at SKMFIT is offered with Biomedical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Electronics.

ME course at SKMFIT is offered with VLSI, Thermal, Power System Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering.

  • Admission for UG and PG course at SKMFIT depends on performance in TNEA counselling and the TANCET entrance exam.

The institution offers under graduate and post-graduate courses in engineering with multiple specialisations. Admissions are on the basis of entrance exam score. The college accept JEE Mains, GATE & TNEA entrance exam. Mode of these exams is online. For admission into various courses student must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in entrance examinations. Another basic requirement for admission is that, student must have completed 10+2 with an aggregate of at least 50% marks with PCM as the compulsory subject. Fees structure for courses is feasible and also college offers scholarship to the students on the basis of merit.
