SDMIMD is the common name of Shri Dharnasthala Manjutheshwara Institute of Management Development. This institute has been located in Mysore since 1993. SDMIMD Mysore PGDM Admission

PGDM is a 2-year long duration course. The size of one batch in the college for this course is 180. It is a complete residential program. The minimum eligibility criteria for the course is 50% aggregate marks in graduation. In addition, according to the SDMIMD admission criteria, students must qualify for any state/national level or college level entrance test 

Eligibility criteria for the PGDM course – In UG, 50% marks with an aggregate score from a reputed college or University. Also, students must appear in the entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, PGCET, KMAT, NMAT, etc. The score of entrance exams shortlists the candidate to get admission to the course. In case students have not attempted any of the entrance tests mentioned above, they are supposed to appear for the entrance test held by SDM College, which is SET.

SDMIMD Selection Criteria for PGDM                                 

There are some important criteria based on which a student gets selected.

  • The candidate will be chosen based on academic performance, entrance exam scores, and participation in extracurricular activities that include sports, theatre, debates, fine arts, and others.
  • Students with good work experience will have a chance to score well on the entrance tests and get selected.
  • After completing the candidates' shortlisting, the colleges will conduct a personal interview round to check their basic knowledge.
  • Once the student is selected, they will get an email or phone call. The student needs to deposit the tuition fees after this to block the seat.
  • Students will get a confirmation receipt after the fee deposit.

SDMIMD Mysore PGCM Admission

The postgraduate certificate in management (PGCM) course is 15 months. The batch size of this particular course in this college is 30. Graduation is the basic eligibility criterion. The entrance exams for PGCM courses are SAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, and NMAT. The tuition fee for the course is INR 5.9 lakhs.

A student needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission in the PGCM course:

SDMIMD Selection Criteria for PGCM

In the PGCM course, admission is based on the score of the entrance exams. It is compulsory to appear in the SDMIMD Admission Test (SAT) for students who didn't appear in other entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, or GMAT. The duration of the test is 45 minutes and consists of 35 questions. The mode of giving the test is online. After the student gets shortlisted, a personal interview round follows.

  • PI rounds are conducted face-to-face or on virtual platforms like Skype.
  • The result of the PI will come in 24 hours.
  • Students will receive the admission call letter over email.

A student needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission in the Ph.D. course:

  • PG degree holder from a reputed university with 55% minimum marks.
  • Students have to clear the entrance exam for Ph.D.
  • After clearing the entrance exam, students can apply for admission.
  • Students who have cleared UGC-JRF exams or are M.Phil degree holders are exempted from attempting the admission entrance tests. Instead, they can apply directly for the Ph.D. course.

SDMIMD Selection Criteria for Ph.D.

The selection of the candidate is based on the score of the entrance exam conducted by the University of Mysore.

  • Students who have cleared UGC-JRF or M.Phil qualified are exempted from appearing in the entrance exams.
  • UGC-JRF or M.Phil qualified students can directly apply for PhD admissions.
  • All the shortlisted candidates need to appear for the personal interview round that the SDM Management Research Centre does.

SDM Institute of Management Development is located in Mysore, Karnataka. It offers an MBA-equivalent PG program known as PGDM. There are no multiple specializations. The institute offers general management. For MBA/PGDM admissions at SDMIMD, the minimum eligibility is to have above 50% in degree and a valid entrance exam score. The relevant applications are available on the SDMIMD website. So, the admission process will take place quite smoothly. The accepted entrance exams are CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT, etc., and the expected cut-off percentile through CAT is 75. As a whole, the institute provides a good curriculum and academic excellence with various other factors like faculty, placements, etc.

SDM Institute of Management offers no online MBA program. Instead, they offer a regular full-time MBA program on campus.

Similar to MBA there is PGDM program offered for 2 years, so candidates in the official website of the institute can apply either online or offline mode. In the month of April application forms will be released so candidates can seek for the same by downloading the form and submitting or filling it online and submitting the same.

Admission process:-

  • The candidate must have completed full-time graduation courses in any discipline from any college recognised by the UGC or Approved by the AICTE with not less than 50% aggregate in 10th Std, 12th Std. and Degree.
  • Admissions are based on, Graduates/Final Year Graduation students appearing for CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT or who already have valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.
  • Applicants will be shortlisted based on consistent academic performance, competitive exam score and work experience if applicable.
