Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, founded in 1991. It is a deemed University. According to NIRF 2020 Rankings, SLIET secured133rd rank among engineering institutions in India. Moreover, NAAC & NBA accredits SLIET with a 'B' Grade. Moreover, SLIET is entirely funded by MHRD. UG and PG programs are available at SLIET. In addition, SLIET also offers PhD & M.Phil courses.   • The B. Tech program at SLIET has seven specialities. The candidate must have passed 10+2 in science.
  • To be considered for B Tech admission at SLIET, applicants must pass the JEE Main exam with an eligible rank.

  • The M. Tech program at SLIET is available in seven branches. The duration of the course is two years, with an annual intake of 123 students.
  • If you want to get into an M. Tech program at SLIET, you need a B. Tech degree in relevant discipline. In addition, the minimum qualifying score should be above 50%.
  • GATE Entrance Exam is a mandatory test for applicants. Thus, applicants must secure a valid score in it.

Sant Longowal Institute MSc Admission

  • The M.Sc. program at the institute accepts 75 candidates across three specialities. The course is two years long.
  • Candidates who have possessed a UG degree BSc in the concerned stream with a minimum of 50% can apply for MSc admission at SLIET.
  • In addition, the candidate must attend CCMN counselling. The seat allocation for MSc will take place through counselling sessions.
  • In case of vacant seats, it will be filled based on the student's performance in JAM, CUCET or PUCET.

I completed my graduation from this college and I am very glad to be a part of this institution. I got admission on the basis of score in entrance examination. I appeared for JEE Mains and based on the score I got shortlisted for this college in online counselling. Minimum eligibility for admission into graduation courses is to have at least 50% aggregate marks in 12th with PCM as the compulsory subject. Fees structure for courses is feasible. I did B.Tech in computer science engineering and the fees expenditure of 4 Years was approximately 2 Lakhs. Fees structure may vary depending on the type of specialisations.

This is a government institute with a deemed university status where admission to Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology for B.Tech or any other program are done through merit basis. For B.Tech admission it is JEE Main entrance exam score followed by JoSAA counselling through seats will be allotted. Direct admissions are not available as of now but then students shall visit the campus admission office for further details.

Although the status of the institute is deemed to be university it is a govt. university where direct admissions to Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology are not accepted. Candidates only through merit basis shall get seats for the required program.
