Ranippettai Engineering College is located in Vellore, and it came into existence in 1999. The college was established under the aegis of Dr B R Ambedkar Educational Trust. The main objective of the college is to provide quality education at an affordable fees structure. AICTE approves the technical courses offered by REC. The college is affiliated with Anna University. Thus, it follows the admission guidelines prescribed by AU. REC offers BE/B Tech at the UG level and MBA and M Tech at the PG level.
REC Engineering College B Tech Admission
REC Engineering College offers admission to the B.E/B.TECH undergraduate degree. B.E/B TECH students can choose from five specializations. Each branch has a 60-person annual intake.

  • TNEA Merit Rank will be used to determine BE/B Tech admission to REC College. The merit list for Anna University will be based on 10+12 grades.
  • Students can apply for admission to the B Tech program if they have a minimum of 50 per cent in their 10+12 PCM topics.
  • Students whose names appear on the merit list are eligible to attend TNEA Counselling and fill out their preferences.

REC Engineering College M Tech Admission

  • At REC, the M Tech degree is offered in four core specialities. Computer science and engineering, as well as communication technology and management, are among the specializations available.
  • Candidates with a grade point average of at least 50% are eligible to apply for M Tech at REC.
  • In addition, they must pass the TANCET state-level admission exam, which requires students to apply for an entrance exam online. Finally, qualified students must attend TANCET Counseling after performing well in a test.

To be admitted to M.Tech, you must have a B.Tech grade of at least 50%.

TANCET is the sole criterion for selection, which is followed by counselling.

REC Institute of Technology Application Process
Admission to B.E/B TECH at REC will be made according to the standards endorsed by Anna University. Thus candidates have to register online for TNEA counselling by visiting the authorized website. The TNEA application process concludes, registration, filling an online form, uploading documents and making the payment.
How to fill TNEA application?

  • Kindly visit the official website of TNEA/Anna University.
  • Then click on the available link for “Register online for TNEA”.
  • Register yourself by entering the necessary subtleties. Upon effective enrollment, new login credentials will be sent for the candidate’s mail ID or mobile number.
  • Use those login accreditations to top off the application type of TNEA.
  • In the subsequent stage, pay the application expenses or enlistment charges for TNEA, which cost INR 500.
