PTU has been successfully offering distance education. This institute has seven undergraduate courses. To acquire education as an undergraduate, one must have completed a three-year diploma course or completed matriculation with a three-year diploma. PTU provides distance education in four postgraduate-level courses. The PG programs offered are MCA in regular and lateral, M.Sc. in IT, and MA in JMC. To gain eligibility to take admissions in PG programs, one must have a 50% aggregate bachelor's degree like B.Sc. in IT, CSE, or BCA. These qualifying courses should be a minimum of three years long, and mathematics is a core subject at the 12th or undergraduate level. The process of selection is purely on the merit of the students.
