Prestige Institute of Management and Research came into existence to provide quality education in management studies to different students. The institute is popularly known as PIMR. It offers various courses for Bachelor's degrees, PG, doctorate levels, and diploma levels. Different areas under the course include Business Administration, Law, Event Management, Arts, Journalism, and Computers.
Candidates willing to apply for UG courses must have crossed 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Also, for PG courses, candidates need to have completed their graduation with an acceptable aggregate. Candidates applying for master's should have appeared for entrance exams with a valid score for college admission. Every exam score counts and will be held based on the final selection.
The merit list will be rolled down for admission of students based on the overall performance of students, which includes academic Merit of 60% weightage, 20% weightage for GD, and 20% for PI. Students applying for an MBA should have qualified in CMAT, followed by GD and PI.
Also, the number of seats for each program is divided or segregated as for the domicile of Madhya Pradesh; 70% of seats are reserved, and the remaining 30% are reserved for outsiders. For OBC and SC/ST students, it goes like 14% and 16%, 20%, respectively. Also, candidates under the wards of freedom fighters and physically handicapped will have a 3% reservation of seats in every program.

Candidates applying for any of the mentioned courses need to have simple eligibility like passing in X and XII with a min of 50-60% marks. For SC/ST candidates, there is a 5% relaxation opting for the specialization or program of law. There is vast exposure in every field you choose at PIMR. The MBA course fee at this institute is around INR 119500/- for one year and for the second year the course fee is around INR 118000/- So in total the course fee at this institute is around INR 237500/- for the complete 2 years course. I joined this institute through my CMAT score and the admission process for MBA course at this institute is commendable as the institute follows the course curriculum set by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. The institute also accepts various other entrance examination scores like CAT, MAT, XAT and many other but since I had only appeared for CMAT I got through this exam score.
