Pallavan College of Engineering (PCE) is one of the subsets of educational institutions set up by Pallavan Education Trust. It is a private engineering college established in 1997. At present, Pallavan College offers UG and PG courses in Engineering, Computer Applications and Management Streams. At UG level, BE/B Tech and at PG level, M Tech, MCA and MBA courses are available. Pallavan College will offer admission to the UG and PG courses based on the academic merit and entrance exam followed by counselling.

Pallavan College of Engineering BE/B Tech Admission
PCE offers courses at the undergraduate level in B.E/ B. TECH in seven disciplines. The duration of this particular course is of four years. While the annual intake for B Tech is 60 seats.

  • Admission to the BE/B Tech is based on the student's TNEA rank, followed by counselling.
  • Candidates who have scored above 50% marks in the 10+2 science stream are eligible to apply for B Tech admission in Pallava College.
  • The primary step is, applicants have to register for TNEA counselling based on their qualifying exam score.
  • Later, Anna University will declare the merit list. If student's names are mentioned in the list, they will be eligible to attend the counselling.

M.E/ M. Tech degree at PCE is available in three domains. The annual intake of students for this postgraduate course is 72, including all branches.

  • Students are also expected to clear the state-level entrance exam that is TANCET. Anna University will conduct the TANCET.
  • Therefore, aspiring candidates are supposed to register themselves for the entrance exam of TANCET and perform well as equivalent to the minimum cut-off criteria set by PCE.

  • Undergraduates of BCA who have secured more than 50% marks in their course of BCA can apply for admission at PCE in the MCA program.
  • Along with this, students are also expected to clear the state-level entrance exam that is TANCET conducted by Anna University.
  • For final selection criteria, academic merit in UG degree and scores obtained in TANCET will be considered for offering admission.

Selection criteria for B.Tech depend on the student's performance in class 12th qualifying exam score. Candidates with good marks in XII shall register for TNEA counselling. Through TNEA, percentile admission for B.Tech at PCE is granted. The minimum eligibility criteria is a 10+2 pass with 75 percentiles.
