Dr D. Y. Patil Medical College is a reputed medical institution established in 1996. DYPMC is affiliated with DPU, Pune, with NAAC accreditation. DYPMC has also got approval from National Medical Council. According to the NIRF 2019 Rankings, DY Patil College secured 20th Position. In addition, MHRD ranked DYPMC as 1st Place among Top Medical Colleges in Maharashtra. The main intention of DYPMC is not just to impart knowledge but also to promote the student's overall development. NAAC accredits the DYPMC with an 'A' Grade.

  • Currently, the college offers admission to the MBBS at the UG level. MD/MS at PG level. Besides, it offers super speciality courses like M.Ch.
  • The admission criteria in DYPMC is based on entrance exam performance NEET-UG/PG/SS. Whereas the final seat allocation takes place through counselling rounds.

  • The DYPMC MBBS course duration is 5 years and includes an internship program for one year. 
  • The eligibility criteria for the MBBS program in DYPMC is to have passed in board exams like 10+2 or any equivalent validation from a recognized Senior Secondary Education Council. 
  • In DYPMC, the medical programs offered is imparted with goof training faculty members as an on-campus routine.

  • In DYPMC, the MD/ MS PG medical program is offered in multiple specialization subjects, Where MD is available in 15 streams, and MS is available in 5 streams.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling process

  • Registration process: Applicants must register their names for the Counselling online and enter the details carefully.
  • Provisional Merit List: A provisional merit list will be prepared after registration.
  • Documents for verification: In the next step, all the documents and certificates will be verified by the counselling authorities.
  • Choice filling process: Candidates must fill in the preferences of their college and course choices.
  • Seat allotment: once the counselling rounds are done, the seat allotment will be made according to their preferences.   
  • Reporting to the college: Once the seat allotment letter is given out, the candidates can confirm and report to the allotted college. 

Dr D. Y. Patil Medical College Application Process

The DYPMC Pune application process is possible in online and offline mode. However, candidates also have to register themselves separately with NEET/ NEET PG/ NEET SS/ AIET on the respective official websites to appear for the entrance examination.

In online:

  • The eligible candidate must visit the official website of the college.
  • Fill the online application form and upload the passport-sized photograph along with the scanned image of the academic certificates.
  • Submit the application form by paying the registration fee either online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net-banking or a Demand Draft in the college's name.

In Offline:

Minimum eligibility mandatory for admission into UG medical courses in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is that candidate must have secured 50% aggregate marks in 12th with PCB as the compulsory subject from a recognised board. As the admission is through entrance examination and hence it is also mandatory that candidate must appear for NEET entrance examination and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in order to get shortlisted. NEET is all India level entrance examination whose application form can be filled online through NEET official website. Application fee for general/OBC is 1,500 and 800 for SC/ST and the fee can be paid via e-wallet, credit/debit card or net banking.

For admission into UG & PG courses in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College candidates must appear for entrance examinations. Selection for admission is made on the basis of score in entrance examination and hence it is compulsory that student must appear for entrance exam and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks. For UG & PG courses in medical students can appear for NEET entrance exam which is conducted online every year. In addition to this basic requirement for admission is that student must have passed 10+2 with PCB as the compulsory subject from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
