NHCE is a private College established in 2001 in Bangalore, Karnataka. NHCE is Affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), accredited by the UGC, and platinum ranked by AICTE. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission have accepted New Horizon College of Engineering as an autonomous college affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) (UGC). It has received an 'A' grade from NAAC and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The New Horizon College of Engineering is in Bangalore, India's IT center. The campus of this prestigious college is secured within the IT area, with big MNCs and IT giants surrounding it. Its pristine campus provides an arena for intellectual and mental growth.

  • Aspirants with an appropriate score on KCET Entrance Test will be eligible to apply for BE at NHCE.
  • MTech, MBA, and MCA admissions to NHCE shall be based on a valid score in Karnataka PGCET.
  • GATE-qualified aspirants are also eligible to apply for the MTech program at NHCE.
  • For the MBA program, CAT/ MAT or XAT marks will be considered acceptable by the NHCE.

New Horizon College B.Tech Admission

New Horizon College offers admission to the B Tech in nine significant disciplines. The minimum eligibility to apply for the B.Tech program at NHCE is a qualification in the 10+2 level of examination with PCM with at least a 45% aggregate mark.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The student must have completed the 2nd PUC/ 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and a combined score of 45%  in Physics and Mathematics as required courses and Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science Electronics, and Biology.
  • Candidates from Karnataka's Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) must obtain a minimum of 40% aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination to be considered eligible.
  • Students can approach admission at NHCET in two ways. That is Management Quota and Government Quota.

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates looking for government seats at NHCE have to apply through KCET Counselling. At first, students have to score well in KCET Exam as per the NHCE KCET Cut off norms.
  • Then, they will be eligible to attend the KCET Counselling after that seat allocation takes place.
  • While specific seats are reserved for the B Tech management quota at New Horizon College, to apply for direct admission to NHCE, candidates can contact the college admission authority to secure a seat.
  • Moreover, students must satisfy the eligibility norms for securing admission. Therefore, students must score at least 50% marks in all the subjects of 10+2 level.
  • Candidates with a valid score in KRLMPCA are also eligible to apply for B Tech admission in NHMCE.

Application Process

  • To register for KCET, candidates have to visit the website of KEA to fill out the application form. The application fees charge approx. INR 650. Students belonging to the reserved category have to pay INR 500.
  • Students applying based on KRLMPCA Score have to download an application form through their official website. Then, submit the duly filled form by attaching documents and DD of INR 1000 as application fees.
  • Students looking for admission under the management quota at New Horizon College have to visit the college's official website and fill out the online application form. Or, they can see the college campus to approach officials.

NHCE M.Tech & MCA Admission

NHCE offers its students M.Tech and MCA programs at the PG level. M.Tech and MCA are provided for two/three years. A Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility for admission to NHCE. Karnataka PGCET-qualified aspirants are eligible to apply for the courses at NHCE.

  • Any B Tech graduates can apply for M Tech admission at NHCE.  In addition, they have to undertake state level entrance test that is K PGCET conducted by KEA. (Karnataka Examination Authority)
  • Students with a valid score in GATE are also eligible to apply for the M Tech course.
  • For admission to the MCA at NHCE, BCA graduates with 50% marks can apply. Or any other equivalent stream like BSc graduates (Computer Science) can use. MCA selection depends on KPGCET or merit-based in the last qualifying exam.

NHCE MBA Admission

NHCE offers its students an MBA program at the PG level. MBA program admission at NHCE is being provided for two years. The MBA program is available in five disciplines.

  • A Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility for admission to NHCE.
  • Karnataka PGCET-qualified aspirants are eligible to apply for the MBA course at NHCE.
  • XAT/ MAT/ CAT passed aspirants can also apply for MBA admission.

NHCE Ph.D. and M.Sc (Engg.) Admission

  • NHCE offers its students admission to the Ph.D. and the M.Sc. (Engg.) research programs.
  • Ph.D. and M.Sc courses at NHCE are offered full-time and part-time.
  • For admission to the Ph.D./MSc (Engg), must have done their Master's Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks as minimum marks.
  • Selection for these courses at NHCE is made based on the score on the RAT. (Research Aptitude Test)
  • Candidates who qualify for the entrance test will be allowed to participate in an interview. (The discussion will be done as per the norms specified by VTU)

  • Click on the 'E-Application link' and then fill up the application form that has been provided.

I appeared for B.Tech course through KCET entrance exam. I applied for Information science but since my score was good I managed to get through computer science engineering. The cut off for Information science at this institute was 12971 and for computer science the cut off fro general category was 8760 in KCET.

Students looking for B-Tech admissions at NHCE must have passed in qualifying exam with merit scores followed by KCET or COMEDK scores. Applications will be accepted in both online and offline mode. 


I have completed BCA. What is the application mode for MCA?

For any of NHCE's courses, applicants can fill out an application form online and submit it by mail or in person at the college address. To complete the application procedure, students must follow the steps like. First, visit the NHCE's official website. Then, click on the appropriate course under the 'Admission' tab on the Menu Bar. Next, fill out the application form by clicking on the 'E-Application' link. Finally, take a printout of the completed application form and mail it along with photocopies of the required documents to the college address. Applicants, by following the procedure, shall further seek for MCA admission to NHCE.


What about the cut off for MCA? I am interested in taking admission for the same.

MCA admissions to NHCE are dependent on a valid Karnataka PGCET score, which is then followed by counselling. Students appeared for Karnataka-PGCET; the cut off for MCA is 4576 in general.

For aspirants looking for admission to NHCE, there is no EMBA program available. The college offers only MBA at the PG level.


Can I get it without any entrance exam?

Candidates can take direct admission at NHCE but appearing for the national/state level entrance exam is mandatory. Eligibility is students must have completed graduation from any stream with 50% and above aggregate. Based on the qualifying exam, merit seats will be offered through the management quota.
