National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysore is a prominent Institute that began in 1946 in Mysore. The Institute provides an engineering program at UG and PG levels that is B.Tech and M.Tech for Four years and Two years. The B.Tech program has five specializations, whereas the M.Tech program has ten disciplines available to choose their desired engineering area.  The Institute also offers an MCA program for three years at the PG level.

NIE Mysore B.Tech Admissions:

NIE offers a B.Tech program with five specializations for four years and eight semesters. The students will be selected for admission to the B.Tech program based on the CET or COMEDK exam marks. Basic eligibility for applying to the B.Tech program is 10+2 or equivalent in the Science stream with PCM subjects with minimum characters from a recognized board. The students shortlisted for admissions will have to produce all the original documents for the verification procedure to finalize the entries.

The students seeking admission to the Institute’s B.Tech program must apply through the NIE official website or the entrance exam website.

NIE Mysore M.Tech Admissions:

NIE Mysore offers an M.Tech program for two years, consisting of four semesters with ten specializations for the students to choose from. The students will be finalized for M.Tech admission based on the PGCET exam score performance. Students with GATE scores can also apply for the M.Tech program. The minimum eligibility required for the M.Tech program is a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in an applicable discipline with 60% marks from a well-known university.

NIE Mysore MCA Admissions:

The Institute also offers an MCA program at the postgraduate level for three years. The basic eligibility for applying to the MCA program is a bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline with 60% marks from a well-known university. The selection process in the Institute will be based on the PGECET exam score.

  • Graduation in Statistics Mathematics-Computer Science or Business Mathematics is required for applying to the MCA program.

NIE Mysore Application Process:

The Indian Government releases a notification regarding application forms. Interested students must get the application form from the Institute’s website and duly fill it out. The application form must be submitted by paying the application fee through a debit card, credit card, or net banking. The students will have to retain the printout of the submitted application form for further reference.

The Students seeking admission to the Institute through the management quota will have to get the application form from the institute directly.

NIE Mysore offers AICTE-approved programs. NAAC has accredited it with a grade of B+. B Tech Eligibility requires passing 10+2 with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC). National Institute of Engineering Mysore course admissions are based on CET/COMEDK scores, with reservations as per government regulations. The NIE Mysore KCET Cutoff ranged from 4700 to 82149. NIE Mysore CSE cutoff COMEDK was 3134th rank. Applicants can apply online through the official website, fill out personal and academic details, upload documents, and pay the application fee online.

Following the rules of the KEA for the B.tech admission we get seat. I was able to get The National Institute of Engineering admission as per my cut-off marks. My cut-off marks were good so in the state counselling they have allotted me this college on the government quota seat.

Yes, to get B-Tech admissions at NIE, the applicants must have appeared for the JEE Main exam at the national level or KCET or COMED K at the state level.

NIE Mysore MCA fee structure is approximately INR 79,590 for the first academic year. Whereas NIE Mysore PGCET Cut off for MCA is 495. The cutoff scores might vary depending on the categories.
