National Institute of Science and Technology, also known as NIST, is located in Berhampur, Odisha, and was founded in 1996. The College is approved under AICTE, Accredited to NAAC A, and affiliated with BPUT (Biju Patnaik University of Technology). The institute has a desire to impart professional technical education to aspiring students. NIST offers Undergraduate courses in BE/B Tech and Post Graduate courses in ME/M Tech, MCA, and Management courses in MBA & PG Diploma.

  • Admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on the Candidate's marks in the 10+2 Exam and valid rank in the JEE Entrance Exam.
  • Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the Candidate score obtained in Bachelor’s degree BE/B Tech, and Candidates must secure a valid score in GATE Entrance Exam.
  • Candidates qualified in bachelor’s degree BCA with minimum aggregate marks are eligible for MCA admission. The selection of the Candidates will be based on Merit in the qualifying Examination.
  • The minimum Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission is, Candidates have passed graduation with a bachelor’s degree. Institute will select the candidates according to the OJEE /MAT Entrance Exam score.
  • Admissions for PGDM will be based on the Candidate's valid rank obtained in MAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT or Odisha JEE Entrance Exam.

NIST BE/B Tech Admission Process

National Institute of Science and Technology offers Under Graduate courses BE /B Tech in 8 Specializations, and the course duration will be four years. Candidates who passed in 10+2 Examination with minimum aggregate marks are eligible to take admission. The selection of the Candidates will be based on the JEE Main Entrance Exam/OJEE Score. Candidates looking to take access for BE/B Tech Lateral Entry have passed in Diploma with minimum aggregate marks.

NIST ME/M Tech Admission Process

National Institute of Science and Technology offers Post Graduate Course ME/M Tech in 6 Specializations for two years. Candidates must be qualified in bachelor’s degrees with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in BE/B Tech and must secure a valid OJEE/GATE Entrance Exam score. Priority will be given to GATE-secured candidates. The Total Intake is 18 Seats for each specialization.

NIST MCA & MBA Admission Process

National Institute of Science and Technology offers Post Graduate Course MCA for three years. Candidates must have passed in bachelor’s degree BCA with minimum aggregate marks. Institute will select the Candidates according to the scores obtained in the OJEE Entrance Exam, which Odisha Government will organize.

Institute also offers an MBA Post Graduate Course for two years. Candidates looking to take admission for MBA Course must be qualified with a bachelor’s degree in any stream and appear for an entrance exam to qualify for admission. Selection of the eligible candidates must secure a valid score in OJEE or Mat Entrance Exam

National Institute of Science and Technology offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management for one year. Candidates must be eligible for a bachelor’s degree with minimum aggregate marks. The selection process of the candidates will be based on MAT/ATMA/CAT/XAT or OJEE Entrance Exam.

NIST Application Process

Candidates who are looking to take admission for UG/PG Courses must apply for the application form by visiting the official site of the College and downloading the document. Candidates must fill up the required details mentioned in the application form and submit them through post by attaching mandatory educational certificates. The application fee for PGDM is INR 500, and Students can pay it through Demand Draft.

The UGC recognizes NIST Berhampur. It has been ranked 66th in engineering category. The institute holds Grade 'A' accreditation from NAAC. Its B.Tech programs require candidates to have at least 45% marks HSC exams. National Institute of Science and Technology course admission to the B.Tech program is through JEE Main. The NIST cutoff jee mains ranges from 253820-903877. For B Tech Lateral Entry, students must appear for OJEE. Selection is done through counseling.

I have opted BE in CSE Stream and currently am pursuing 3rd year I like to say admission fee over here is actually average and I can reasonable too. National Institute of science and Technology admissions for BE will be given on the basis of entrance exam score actually I took admission on the basis of JEE Main Entrance Exam.

NSIT provides B-Tech admissions based on 10+2 board exams with JEE Main scores. The accepted cut-off for the B-Tech CSE stream through JEE main is 440567.

National Institute of science and Technology admission fee is less. INR 500 is NIST admission fee.
